  8. Outsource it...!!! on Microsoft Can't DRM Docs Fast Enough · · Score: 1

Maybe they should outsource the work to China, perhaps they will get it done in time.

Last thing I heard is that Chinese people want to work harder for less money.

  9. Re:0 + 0 = 0 on South Korean Music Retailers Dying · · Score: 2, Insightful

Here is South Korea artist still make a good living, I guess they just have to get there money from somewhere else.

  10. Re:Apple was there first on Labels Push for a Unified DRM Standard · · Score: 1

I actually type this on my trusty (well not that trusty, its mainboard broke down two times) iBook.

if Apple would have opened up their specs, they wouldn't have made a lot of money from hardware. true.
But they would be the company everybody would have bought their operating system from.

So if they open up the way their iPod works, they might sell less iPods, but more people will buy music from their iTunes Music Store!

And more people will use iTunes and with that comes Quicktimes, so they can push their next generation digital video store more easily.

  11. Apple was there first on Labels Push for a Unified DRM Standard · · Score: 3, Interesting

The rest should follow the leader.....

After that Apple should open up their DRM to others.

They made this mistake before an lost to the pc....don't make the same mistake twice.

  16. Re:why WMP ? on EU Fines Microsoft $613 Million, Officially · · Score: 2, Interesting

It wasn't about Apple vs. Microsoft.
Although I did take the iTMS as an example.

With WMP Microsoft can (and probably will) make the same mistake it made with IE.
And we get stuck with some crappy piece of 'technology'.

DRM is the way it is going, wether you and I like it or not.

  17. Re:why WMP ? on EU Fines Microsoft $613 Million, Officially · · Score: 5, Insightful
