Are hard drives even made in the USA anymore? Hell I am sure most drives are made in china. my seagate says product of Singapore. any real difference? Its like the difference of item made in canada vs the US.
I remember when working at the Gateway store, we all got the calls they were shutting down the stores, on April first. It was one of those "great" april fools jokes, that was real. I also remember how much trouble I got for repairing a motherboard with bad capactors by just replacing them with new ones. apparently no one knew how to use a soldering iron.
You guys keep thinking of yourselves, with external drives and portability. But what happens when you want to share work with someone overseas? Are you going to mail them that drive? Hell even across the state.
To be honest with ya'll. I think its about the same as the address of the tag. Like how come the ACLU isn't going after them for having the addresses available? I mean its relatively the same. An officer who is looking for someone can look up their DMV info and poof have an address to check.
Have you ever looked into the discounts large schools get? They damn near get it for free. So They take it. MS gives schools a huge discount so they get the students "hooked" for life, or until they learn better.
How long till it gets "abused"? 2 weeks?
I seriously bet someone will come up with a way to use it other than MS intended. Then the MAFIAA can go after a big corp with lots of money. I still love the fact that the RIAA has been known to use pirated versions of MS software.
What about Clean code? You know the types that doesn't have errors, or memory leaks? Heck why does a printer driver take 300mb? I remember when things used to be small. Lots of things now are huge, that do not necessarily have to be big.

Ok Blue tooth has been around since 1998-ish, Why wait till now to make a fuss? Any Idea's I work on, I research heavily to see if there are alternatives out there. Blue tooth has been in the news for a long time, seriously why wait till now? I wish there was a law that says if you hate a better part of a decade to sue for your patent, you should lose out. But then again, I want a law that says no vaguely worded patents, be precise, and not have it describe 15 million things.
I got fired from Big Blue for saying "Hello" to a VP. Literally we were both outside on a smoke break, I didn't know who he was, went up and introduced myself and a 5 min conversation on How are you, etc. And the Operations manager was pissed That I would dare say hello. I got fired. This happened 2 weeks ago. Its a broke, but good christmas, I think.
I thought I knew a lot of the stuff I was voting on today before I got there. But I soon realized I had no clue. I still voted. Since I am in GA. I voted most of the people in education out. (Georgia is one of the worst states when it comes to education). But I still voted. no idea if it will help. I found amusing its that a lot of people had no one running against them, and they were still on the balot. I was so tempted to write myself in as someone running.
Holy schnikes, an app that works with firefox? I may love linux, but I want to see the improvements that MS made. I have only seen Screen shots of vista. so might as well play.
