Ever think MS might have a hand in this? I mean, they would love to see windows on everything. and the fact they are trying to abolish linux? also keep in mind they could have looked this up years ago. it feels like SCO is trying to destroy linux. and that hurts, cause i enjoy open source. you would think SCO would just let it slide, but no.
i live on an island, its 7 mile drive from mainland, then i have to drive another 10 miles to the store, and pay $25 for a cd that i only want maybe 2 songs on it. its just too expensive. anyone get their cd's stolen? how much fun is that getting those back, if i have cdr's of musik, no one steals those. and most of the musik i listen to are not even sold in this country! much easier to d/l them.
well if i can run linux on my sgi, which also runs on a MIPS processor, why can't this? anyone remember when IBM, was helping in making the Cyrix CPU's?,(now VIA.) i see no problem of the amd chip in there. and if someone makes a linux driver for the Airport, will you make improved drivers for the Nforce2 chipset please? if i could write drivers i would do it myself.

they were better, but MS practically gave the software away till they controlled the market, then prices went back up. lets not let history repeat itself, stay with linux. think of some device, from ipod's to xbox, to alpha's theres a linux port for it.

hey how many schools taught with apples 15-20 years ago? are those people now suffering cause they didn't have word? NO! people learn to adapt, its what we do. I think overall effect will be well worth it. Largo,FL the entire county switched to linux,and thin clients, saving them 1 million a year in IT, only 5 IT's through out the county. Linux is the better way to go. we all know it.
