There are also other laws that come into play. It's mandated that you must be taken care of at the ER. So if you aren't wearing a seatbelt you will be in worse condition (if you survive) and cost more money. The hospital will either have to write this off or it will end up coming out of taxes somewhere (assuming you don't have insurance).
There are alot of assumptions and circular logic built into America's law code. It's almost like programming.
I would take a look at what Unitrends is doing. They have backup systems with a removable Hard Drive component and aluminum cases for thier hard drives. SATA drives I think. You can google them up and talk with a sales guy.
$2 million would only save 60 or 70 jobs assuming each person's pay and benefits do not add up to more then 30k.
If a $2 million pay cut would save 1000 jobs it would mean each person was only making $2k in pay and beneifts. I would not like to work for that company.
I'm not really sure this isn't being blown out of proportion. It sounds like they just want to do the same thing cable companies are doing with their video on demand, etc... If they give you a 100mb pipe do you really care if they say you can only use 80mb of this pipe, we are saving 20 for our own services or services that pay to use it. Comcast has a much bigger pipe then they are willing to allow internet traffic on, that's why they can push all those channels at you.
Partimage can do this, it can't move to a smaller drive, but it can move to a same size or larger. I've actually managed to move to a smaller drive, but I have to shrink the partition, then resize it after it is moved. It's a pain.
My problem is that the AI's will happily trade with each other, but they will never trade with me. I can be a countries best friend, allied with them and defending them as they spiral into death and they will hold onto any technologies they have unless I pay them an astronomical amount.
There also seem to be some techs that the AI will not trade and espionage is almost impossible in CIV3.
If people would let some of the used up comics in the newpaper end there would be room for new people. I'm talking about crap like Family Circus (now drawn by father and son team, dad's almost dead), Peanuts (rerun of classics, creator is dead), Garfield (how many times is lasagna funny). I can barely even enjoy the comics in the sunday paper anymore. I just skim out the few that aren't worthless drivel.
I think the so many salivating slashdotter's you are talking about are actually five or six guys with a couple hundred accounts each. Probably paid by some apple marketer.
I had a friend do this at a pawn shop and got himself and his seller banned for life. I'm sure the proprietor of any game shop would be similarly upset, and I don't blame them.
I'm not here to preach about whether our not it is smart to manage removable media. I'm just here to give you this link. It's a great piece of software that works well.
My brother had a KIA when he was in the military. A couple people told him that was not a smart car for someone in the military to be driving. KIA is an abbreviation for Killed In Action.

I tried this on a couple different keyboards and it didn't work either time, my latiturd and thinkpad were not the same afterwords.

My solution is a 166mhz IBM laptop with Vector linux and a wireless card.
You know, you can buy AVG also...

That used to work with old LEAD pencils, but modern pencils use graphite. This is no longer feasable.
7zip supports commandline.

Yeah, because nobody else has electronic bill pay.

I read the title and thought this thread was about tatooed cooters.
Glad I was wrong.
