For example, you put your car in neutral in the outskirts of the mountain and instead of gravity to pull it down, it is tractored upside. Expert physicists claim there is another energy in the mountain area that is more powerful than the gravity itself, thus creating the effect.

  14. Saturday content aren't what they used to be on The Disappearance of Saturday Morning · · Score: 1

I live in Greece and Weekend mornings (up till afternoon) used to be the whole tv experience, so I'll speak about it.

The weekends does not mean anything anymore because I believe that tv is missing originality, when it comes to cartoons. Nowadays the Japan imports are better, but they start to deteriorate too in the mainstream tv (for example Pokemon was great but it's turning lame). I like watching cartoons even though I am 24.

We don't have cartoon network (like others have) and the subscribing cn is a very lame cut down -- no violence programme.

When TV in Greece started we had Transformers, Mask, the appropriate WB classics (Buggs Bunny etc), and about 120 shows that were just great (the great 80's - 90's shows). Nowadays what tv is all about is some lame-o cartoons that do not provoke violence and are clean deep to the bottom of everything. Ok, tv is supposed to promote role models but this has gone far too much.

The only resort is Japanese Animation that has been popular to some channels, and are the only shows that have been continued (even though there are reruns every month instead of new episodes) that can be watched smoothly. Dragonball, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh even Digimon.

Actually, Greek TV has no respect for the children. The channel owners think that everything animated is for children. They just give big fat checks to people to organize children shows and stuff but instead they create monstrocities that no one can watch.

The same goes for the tv series. We had Sci-Fi and now it's been cut down to series that have been plugged off from the networks and are being sold for ballast. There is no viewer's opinion, just fake results (like Bush's elections one stuff)....

Bush went to yale, courtesy of his father's money, I am sure of that. I don't have YALE, but you don't have to be a rocket scientist or a fancy college guy to see where your "YALE" president goes.

Congress in my opinion is just a sellout to Bush's administration. A bunch of people there, who have been assigned by lobbies (and don't deny it), the same ones who have Bush on the head.

As for giving Ira(w)q, BACK to the Iraqis, isn't this what supposed to be with the Afghanistan Case... Bush creates more osama's and terrorism now. Ponder this. Who can become a terrorist? The one who's family have been teared of by an enemy who is not even in borders with that country or the one who has a country being dicatored (I don't deny it, i told it already), and needs to be freed by ITS OWN PEOPLE however helpless they are.

Fear the bearers of false gifts and broken promises. That's what I say.

  18. Sins of the father. on Strike on Iraq · · Score: 2, Insightful

Today it begins. Is there not ANYONE with a brain to see where it goes? Last night on cnn, they said Bush is going to go on war until no war is left to be fought. That is his dogma. The dogma of a mad man who wants to be dictator of the world. The world is not free and would not be free because of Bush. Bush claims that the Iraqi people are poverty and wants their country freed, so that they could have goods again. But if it was not for the embargo this would have happened without war. I won't say that Saddam is not a criminal, but it's all over again the same thing as Osama. He was brought to power by the US meddling for oil. I am not an American, but I love America. I love New York, even I have never been there and Sept.11 made me cry too. It also made me see the road ahead. But how can you, the American people tolerate this? A president who got elected by mischief, a president who acts like world dictator. He is like the real life Doctor Doom without IQ.

I only stated the "Bowling for Columbine" film, because it's a different approach on all the happy woooeey films that try to show america. I didn't say that it's 100% accurate, but it sure does show some of the problems.

Anyway, the fact is that all that thing with the Twin Towers / Two Towers is stupid. Some people think that, every note of more than one Tower means the World Trade Center, it should change like it never happened. This is sacrilege, both to the Writer's work and to the WTC. As I said before, and noted a million times in here, Tolkien never knew of the WTC -- he was not Nostradamus. As for the WTC it happened. It happened for known reasons, for unknown reasons but it happened. I'd feel the same if the Acropolis (yes I am Greek) was destroyed but I would accept the fact that it happened. By banning everything WTC (no naming, no noting, no referring) you destroy the memory of WTC, not keeping it alive.

  23. STUPID CLAIMS on Lord of the Rings: Two Towers Reviews Rolling In · · Score: 1, Insightful

I am fed up with this "Twin Towers" nonsense.

It's all a puritanistic approach, instead of seeing the true problem. I watched "Bowling for Columbine" flick the other day, and saw the true face of America, and not the one that they made the World Trade Center a god. It is horrible to see people die -- that's no fact it's reality.

But the claims of "...oooh don't say twin towers we recall the tragedy" is so stupid that it reaches on the same level as the cause of selling guns in America that lead to the youth shoots. You can see how fanatic you have been with no fault of your own. Instead of weeping over titles that are meaningless as if Tolkien knew the future and said "Heh I am going to entitle the next book 'Two Towers' so that in a sadistic way I will take revenge for the Americans after Grave", you should get yourselves into the real threat, your children's influence, the war that is destined to become another vietnam because of inability of the government administration and the genral status of the economy.

Sometimes I like that I am in a country that has real problems and not in a country that likes to create problems just to know that it is there.
