  1. Probably Redundant on ZDNet UK Begs for Google's Forgiveness · · Score: 1

but... Maybe it would have been better if the report had shown the reporters own information. I totally agree with Googles actions in this case, with one exception. I dont think they would have done this to a news group if they had used google to report on someone elses information (aka not googles CEO). I guess what I am saying is that if google finds someone abusing the service (which this was in my opion) they are totally in the right to stop providing service (which is free by the way) to that person(s). But if they are going to take the high ground and be proactive I want them to ban the local news station if they were to post my information. Not being the CEO of Google I have a felling my request would fall on deaf ears.

Alot of compairisions are being made about how the XBox has the better hardware and how PS2 wont be able to keep up in the comming years with XBox and PCs for a gaming market.

The only problem is that as time has proven the best hardware is not always going to win the race.
If that was true (and I can't beleave I am saying this) but Macs would probably have a better market share than they do now.

What is comes down to is the software they make for the system. Microsofts tradition of you will use our system and pay us for everything you want to make for the system just wont work in this market. They need to make deals with Game Developers to get GOOD games that actually use the system to it's full power. Then maybe it would be worth it. Until then I will be playing GTA3 so please dont interupt my tank rampage unless there is truely something important on the xbox

Then there will be another virus that will make it so you can't uninstall any of the modules.

The only part of the plan that puzzles me is how they are going to explain to people that this new virus asks you 20 times if you want to get a MS passport.

Okay so to start, I don't mind NT, (it has its place for low end easy to operate small networks) but anyway I was working part time durring school kinda admining this small local area network for an alarm monitoring company. They were in the process of upgrading the monitoring software that they use. I made one request (which they ignored) that they do the upgrade on a day I was there. The company I worked for shelled out some big money to make sure that the developers of the software all came and did the install. I warned again this would not be good. My boss told me that they were assured that all three guys coming had MCSE Degrees. (Right then I knew I was getting overtime on this job.) The day came and pasted when they were supposed to bring in the new server and load everything up, and I got no page. So I figure everything was okay. Three days later I go in for my regular weekend shift and all three of the developers are still there. They had been trying to resolve a problem with the new server for 4 days!! 5 minutes after I got there I asked why they gave the server the same IP address as the network printer, laughed at them and told my boss I was taking the day off with pay for that one.
