Their are thousands of warez sites on the web, a few major p2p programs with millions of users, a flourishing IRC network used mainly for warez trafficking and the only sites that are brought down are the unique, special nische sites who serve a small community that are just trying to share their unique hobby. They will never stop piracy that way. The only thing that they are going to do is show us their stupidity and upset some decent people while they are doing that.
The background music for the second part of the trailer is the same one that was used in the internet preview for Lord of the rings (released in 1999). Anyone knows where is it taken from ?
I remember the first time i heard it i thought it was really cool, unfortunetly it was not used in the final soundtrack...
Overall, a much better trailer than the first one. I still have little hope that something good will come out of this...
I am realy looking forward to seeing what documentaries they are going to put on this DVD. The first movie had 2 disc's worth of doc's in it and they all were very intresting. The thing is that alot of them were based on general LotR stuff not specifically FoTR and i guess that they would not just repeat the same old doc's.
I consider the first movie extended edition to be the best DVD release ever made, they really have high standards to repeat on future releases.
This means that there is going to be a lot more from treebeard and golum, because i don't see any other way of using this much cgi in and extended edition.
But all the ISP's are selling bandwith they don't have. They know that not everyone is maxing out their bandwith at any given time so they are able to sell it to more people.
Although the new matrix trailer did make me go "Whoa" i do not consider it to be the best trailer i have seen. It seems that the team behind PJ's Lord of the rings are the rulers. Every new LOTR trailer makes me drool like no other trailer before it. The usage of the Requiem for a dream theme in TTT was amazing.
And the tralier that shocked my world was the internet preview release way back in 1999. My jaw was droping everytime i would see it (and i saw it A LOT of times), i never got so much hype from a trailer before until this one was released.
Man, i just can't believe that i am now waiting for RoTK....
I believe the record lables are just tired from sueing everyone. They are now trying to hit the jackpot by winning just one case which will assure them enough money for a couple of generations ahead...
I'm giving sony two years tops, until they will come out with there version of a handheld console. It's just a very big money making option for sony to pass on.
Well that's what happens when a comapany tries to improve a product, it becomes better than the one that preceded it. Would you prefer that it was'nt released at all only so that the ones that bought the first version would feel better ? I don't think so.
i'm not saying that nintendo is all gold here - they should have thought about the backlit feature earlier - but at least they are admitting that they were wrong before and are trying to improve (and make some money on the side).
There are just not fun enough. I much prefer playing a good enjoying single player game with a rich plot against listening (or reading) to a bunch of retards repeat the same old "GG". I am not saying that every multiplayer game sucks but to many game developers are now turning to the mmorpg market. I guess they just can't pass on the option to sell the game at full price and get another 10$ each month. I mean, come on ! You really think that the industry can support dozens of mmorpg's ? This also leads to the fact that alot of developers just can't ship a game with out a multiplayer option even for games that don't really need it, which leads to the fact that the single player game get's less attention than it needs.
I believe that the game industry that is now thriving is on the full momentum of quantity against quality. Alot of people are trying to jump on the bandwagon and get some money. It is true that we get some great games with great production values because of the success of the industry but we also of to find our ways through alot of crap.
I just discovered that Ebay is holding shares of the mentioned cable company ! They are the ones that sold the damn thingie while trying to increase their PPV profits !
I don't know about you , but i like those fancy graphics. Actually i think gamespot is the best looking site on the web (including of course only the ones i ususlly visit, i am sure there are some great looking sites that i missed).Every thing is organized and easy to find and that's very important to me, especially comparing to their main competition , ign, which has great content, but lousy design.
We Europeans alwasys have to pay more and get less.
Only now did sony remember to even up the prices of the ps2 from 299 pounds (sorry can't find it on the keyboard) to 199. Also, games cost alot more than the U.S and we also have to wait alot more time for them to be released here.
Not to mention that some games don't even get released in europe.
You can't compare those kind of games because they are totally differnet from one another.That's why you can't pick "the best game of all time".You may pick the best sports game or the best rpg , but you can't compare two genres together.
But you will have to wait for something like six month from the xbox launch day, since MS paid alot of money for a Xbox exclusivity. The only reason i think this game is so good is because of that deal -it looks like a real killer app.
So does Mozilla (but you can't edit this from the main menus), and so does Opera.
And why would i even want to go to MSN.COM ? You can find anything you want on other great portals minus M$ advertising.

I don't know if songs in hebrew are your thing, but i can clearlly say that their is no problem to search for hebrew songs in kazaa (and it's other clones).I live in Israel and use a hebrew/english
keyboard and no changes were needed for me to search for hebrew songs in kazaa,it came right out of the box.
FYI Napster RIP was a very popular place to find songs in hebrew and also had no problems for doing that kind of search.
