  1. Syndication on The Rise Of Reg-Only Media · · Score: 1

No, it just means the next "rising network" won't be on television, it will be a syndication network for related websites, blogs and RSS feeds..Pay your fee and get commercial free access to a bunch of related content. This is already a major idea in adult websites, which always seem to be on the front edge of raking-in-the-cash technology.

  2. Re:Atrophy on ESA To Study Human Hibernation · · Score: 1

What about (hypothetical) Myostatin inhibition? (thinking about the uber-baby) I cannot think of a reason for muscles to atrophy if the mechanism of atrophy is removed. There must be a trigger that causes atrophy, thinking about that kid with the bulging he-muscles... and thus a potential way to block that trigger/enzyme. You'd probably need to have the person on IV *anyway*, might as well make a "hibernation cocktail" or an emplantable "time release" thing, which would also provide necessary chemicals for getting you to wake up... maybe even some epinepherine (sp?) in the event of a heart attack or immediate need to wake.

  5. MetaTest on Automated Software QA/Testing? · · Score: 1

I've been working on a simple idea for a while, a programming language that *provides* the testing capability, implementing the testing story. Its not a horribly difficult idea, just something I've been playing with. My goal is create a test language you can then compile against various languages to see if the implementation in any given language behaves in the same way.. also to make unit tests a little easier to read. You can read about it on the project blog: http://www.bigattichouse.com/thoughtbrew.php?BREWI D=METATEST

So why is it they *have* to release a movie at all? I bet, if you took enough websites and clues, you could build an interesting story that had to be "teased out* without even producing a movie. Just intersperse real websites and products in the story, and you'd probably get enough "side promotion" to stay wealthy forever. Sort of a new medium of story telling, where the people reading the story have to tease out the details.

One of the great boons of PHP is the fact that you can build shell scripts with it.
