Its not about you dear content provider, its about the industry cartels. You are meaningless to them. And forget customers, they are pushing more and more towards piracy.
1st Amendment *clearly* is not limited to citizens
Technically, the constitution only applies to citizens. But for our government to do this is just scary and wrong, unless we are not getting the full story here.
This is why you license your tech out to anyone that wants it instead of keeping it in house. You can have the lesser product but there is more of it out there so you win by default. Sure you make less, but you get more back in volume ( and you marginalize the competition )
A lesson you would have thought Apple would have learned when IBM did it to them in the 80s. I guess not.
Only if you suck wifi off your neighbors or the local starbucks.
This precedent is really scary, if taken to its extreme if you conduct ANY business you have fortified your rights to privacy to the government and any other company that just happens to feel like getting your data.
He should flat out refuse and flip them the bird for even asking. If one succumbs to this sort of underhanded tactic then NO ONE is safe. Now, if hes proven guilty in court, then yes, he should step down.
Will everyone go back to. It will become about impossible to catch anyone doing anything as all that is being taught is 'you better hide what you are doing', no matter what it is, for tomorrow what you do may be illegal too and we keep records forever.
I don't see any compelling reason that facebook would ever give their friends lists to Apple. Is there even a theoretical benefit for facebook in doing so?
They will see the reason once the check arrives to purchase them.
With the implied threat of being sued into oblivion ( or worse ) the Craigslist dude did what he had to. Sad, but its reality.
As the other areas get the influx of the 'bad/evil/immoral/etc people', they will call ( threaten ) for the removal of those sections too. Its all about the slow encroachment idea. Cant take out the enemy in one swipe so you nibble at them until they implode.
My personal feeling is that this is not being driven by the still alive and kicking "temperance crowd", but in fact is being funded by the more traditional 'follow the money' concept ( via old fashion bribes and kickbacks ) and just being masked by the 'its for the children' sort of veil. I bet companies like eBay are really behind this.

Well of course it is. Its easier to get a handout then actually produce something.
So even if we all boycott them ( which is coming... ) they still get paid.
obs does have the right to take weapons onto his private plane.
Actually, no he doesnt. The rules extend to private planes too.
You must have competition there. We dont.

Was that a pig i just saw fly by?
Do i need not say more? Its just yet another scam thought up by some out of work MBA.
And look for another job. I wouldn't want to work there any longer even if i did win the case.
Its been around as long as there have been businesses.

Trojan, yes.
Worms don't need human intervention to spread. ( technically, neither do viruses )
We as citizens are so screwed.
If you put out a device that costs more and offers less, don't expect it to unseat anyone.

I meant to purchase FaceBook itsself, not purchase access to the data.

Then they came for me, who was only sharing knowledge, but there really was no one left.
And i don't think this is a circle, its a one way trip to hell.
Make that freedom and capitalism -- *sigh*
Lets hear it for freedom and capitalization!
Expect more taxes and even more government influence.

If they didn't turn a profit, they wouldn't be out there.

If its between 2 or more consenting adults the government should keep its nose out.
