    Its not about technical innovation anymore, its about them following the money trail as the world changes.

    Most everything today is incremental improvements, rarely does true innovation come along now. Where is the Woz when you need him?

    And, just to clarify, i wont be leasing my processing power thank you very much.

    So we are returning to the very thing Microsoft fought to eliminate in the first place. Big data centers where you lease CPU time and have nothing but a terminal at your desk. ( ok, so its slightly different in actual practice, but same basic principles )

    Unrestricted access is what makes the internet useufl and why it is what is today.. If they to back to pay per use, it will die off as a commercial entity and bankrupt places like Amazon.

    And how do they address spam, popups and DoS issues?

    And the last 2 *large* things i downloaded came from a BT tracker.

    One was a home made freebsd distribution , and another was a open movie from Blender.

    I also downloaded ( from a bands officially run site ) several songs, using BT to help reduce their bandwidth..

    So tell me again why you only want to associate questionable activities with BT?

    If its MY network with MY router, i have the choice of what sort of bandwidth usage will occur.

    When i PAY for bandwidth from my ISP, they shouldn't limit it.

    During his day, the south declared themselves an independent country. They were fighting the 'union' for them recognize that declaration. Not much different with the revolution from Britain. We declared ourselves independent, but had to 'earn' our way for others to also consider it.

    And while you may not realize it, you proved my point rather well. If the south had one, he would be a hero. They didn't, so he's labeled a racist assassin. Could say the same about General Washington during this countries founding. If we had lost, he would have been a terrorist. We won, so instead he's herald as a hero.

    And no, i wont get into if i feel personally that Booth was right in what he did or if the south was right or wrong in general. That isn't the point i'm trying to make at all. The point was totally missed by you.

    I don't think you can use the unauthorized access if it was a public tracker, but i agree that i don't see how a DoS can be legal under ANY circumstance.

    Take down letters, ISP turning your account off due to court order, sure.. But an intentional DoS? WTF?

    Since when does 2 illegal acts cancel each other out ( not to mention no illegal act was being committed by Revision3 anyway )?

    No, its the person you were thinking that i am referring to. By definition he was a patriot. Willing to sacrifice his life for his country.

    It is designed to make people think about how relative our labels of 'heros' and 'villains' really are. Its all in who won the battle, and still a valid issue even today as we label people 'insurgents' and 'terrorists' much as we are labeled by the same groups.

    The comment you 'don't have time to guess' means you wont make time to even think either. Sad. Really sad.
