    Lets have these sort of investigated rules for ANY job, because you 'never know'.

    That way we can have even more people out of work for the government to support ( with our tax dollars ) as few people can pass a deep enough probe into their personal life. Hell, why not even toss in DNA 'predispositions' too.

    The manufacturer can make more $ by saving those few pennies. ( even 10 cents adds up when you sell millions of units )

    And, if you dont create one and then have your PC crash they might even get a service call out of you too.

    I agree just the act of posting on-line does not. However, you postunder the rules and agreements of where you post ( in this case, youtube ). If you read youtube's agreement, they get rights to re-post.

    It may have also given youtube the right to modify then claim ownership of the modified work ( not sure about this part, id have to go read the current license, its been a while ).

    So the fact that i have 800+ cds in my book case at home, and if i leave my front door unlocked then that is 'intent to distribute'?

    What about my 2000 books? Intent there too?

    What about my kitchen, its full of food. Does that make me an 'intent to feed' and cause me to be considered a restaurant?

    No, its not 'just business' when you directly invove a government like china.

    And yes, ANY business in that country is directly controlled by the government. Thats how it works there.

    Paranoia is healthy at times. As the world becomes more and more 'tech-bound', this is a far worse long term risk then us continuing to rely on oil provided by people that want to see our way of life ended.

    Scary times ahead.

    At some point every public site will be blocking most countries that are a member of the WTO. I can even see blocking of 'legit' things like your average linux distro due to fears of IP litigation by someone like microsoft. Then it all goes underground, again.

    I have the same problem with my ISP, however they don't cut you off, yet. They just send you nasty notes that you violated the AUP.

    When asked what the new limits are so i can conform to them ( since they aren't in the published agreement ), ' we don't have any, but you exceeded the limits'.

    Create a chart with:

    Uptime
    Serivce tickets completed in x minutes ( if you have a ticketing system )
    Number of patches
    Number of file restores/etc.

    Then toss in some vague 'hours per week of maintenance' for your daily operatins of viewing logs, etc.

    It wont matter much what it is, as long as you document what you do and give some times/counts along with it.
