Why should Microsoft fear something like parallels when you are running THEIR software via it. In fact its increasing Microsoft's market share in the process.
They don't sell hardware, so anything that incerases the number of users is a good thing for them.
Right, and as soon as its a truely criminal issue, they have the resources of the government behind them. The entire concept of IP will be turned on its head.
Only problem is that it turns into 'reasoable doubt' by a jury to get a conviction, a much harder task then in civil cases.

They already knew this, i just havnt figured out the angle of why they *really* pushed this garbage on is.

But yes, we got both types over here in the states. Public busses have done it for decades. Rather disgusting if you ask me.
Even our license plates are advertisements in many cases. ( for the state one lives in )
Does adblock work in the car? Or while you are walking down the sidewalk?
Online ads are just one small part of the problem.

Road signs, radio, tv, t-shirts, hell, even the back of police cars in some cities.
Personally i try to avoid doing businesses with companies that practice 'flooding advertisement'.
