Well, around 9 i get woken up by the staff, and am fed breakfast from a platinum platter.
Then i spend some money. Need to pay off some more members of congress.
Then some more money is spent, just because I am bored and i have more then you.
Then I am fed by the staff for lunch by the restruant i just purached for the hell of it.
Then i spend some money, buying tomorrows competition.
After my hard day at work, i fly home in my private jet, from my private airport.
Then I am fed by the new staff for dinner, ( no need to keep the breakfast crew around since people are all disposable ) as i retire to the home that none of you will ever be able to afford. Isn't it grand to be rich and better then the rest of you all? Go me!
Most embedded applications dont even need an OS.. thats overkill for them and would only serve to raise the end cost. You dont need linux in your Microwave for example.
We have people here in our country that cant afford a computer. I guess they dont count?
Not that i think everyone needs one to be 'human' like some people do, but i fail to understand the basic rational of helping others before you help those in your own back yard.
How about taking along a 9mm? That would help insure your security quite a bit. much more then a cell phone....
Sure, its illegal in some areas, but would you rather be dead or explaning to a judge? some areas of the country you dont get a second chance out there 'on the street'.
Too bad performance of QEMU still doesnt match VMware. I know personally id rather use it on my BSD box, then be stuck running windows all th etime. Ive tried, but its far to slow ( and a tad unstable ).
Yes i know its free, and they have doen a LOT of good work on it, but its not yet to where i can realistically use it at the office.
No 'hearsay', this is direct comparison of both products on the same hardware. However, as another person points out that ( at least in the server case ) they have debugging turned on, which would slow things down.
Last i heard you couldnt virtualize windows with out illegal patching ( since you cant get the source legally to do it )... so xen really isnt hurting microsoft at all.
Now, perhaps they are afraid of QEMU ? Or is that what caused VMware to give away their low end products, and now MS is worried about VMware taking more market share?
That would be your choice, much as my choice as the owner to enact the rule.
Id put a sign out on the door: "no cell phone or blackberry useage unless its an emergency".
And no, ' honey, was that 1 or 2 pounds of burger?' is not an emergency.
And if you thought cell phones caused people to be rude, blackberrys surpass that effect greatly.
They should be totally banned in situations like meetings, or at a grocery.
What sort of garbage is that?
Try government in general, regardless of who appears to be in charge at the time.
Oh wait, you just had to get in a quick jab at Bush.. nevermind.
Does anything more need to be said?
Any hope of this becoming free after this move?

( assuming this is legit ) this sort of garbage needs to get air time on the mainstream media so the common man can hear about it.
Until this stuff starts to effect the *AA's pocketbooks they will continue to harass.

I stand behind the 'take care of your own FIRST' concept. Only after that is done do you branch out to help others.

Ummm i dont understand..
( yes its a joke, laugh and get over it )
Great, so cockroaches resemble a commitee at the office, making 'group' decisions before they attack that donut you dropped.. And this helps us how?
Hmm, now that you think about it, sounds a lot like where i work..

And now that the 'movement' is moving, he needs to step aside and let it happen on its own. His rants often make the rest of us look silly.
Everyone is a criminal anyway, right?
Yet another excuse to invade our privacy. Id say thankfully i dont live there, but it will be like that here soon anyway.
No, i was comparing workstation to 'viewer', and GSX to VMWare server. Not comparing between the two types of products.
And as another guy says, while in beta debugging is turned on, so ill be waiting to try again.
And isnt free-workstation out of beta now? If so, I'm still having speed issues there.
isnt this why we dont have G5 laptops? Nice move Steve.
Fine, mod me down, but as a long time apple fan, i will still dislike this latest blunder from Mr. Jobs.
The WTO takes over when it crosses country boundries. They can impose their own sanctions.

Ok, ill give you that on the GSX/VMServer comparison.
But Im also talking about the workstation version. Even after beta its still worse performance then my 'paid' copy.
I wonder if they will ship a slightly degraded version, much as VMware is doing.
