    There's a article in the last issue of 2600 magazine about on persons experience getting busted for uncapping....and also uncapping tips as well. Not sure if which vendor it was for though.

    Hate to bust yout bubble but having over 10 years experience hasn't helped me that much and it's going on 1 year this month....I've been doing some independent work and got my foot in the door at a couple more places but man it's kinda bleak, of course I'm not much of coder type.

    Interesting observation, I agree with your meat consumption idea(we would do well to eat much less meat). For a good read check out " Diet for a new America" by John Robbins I believe.

    Yep the salvage command has saved alot time for users and admins alike. Not to mention how good nds is, when the cio dictated "get rid of novell" I knew the end was near for me. Of course most of those servers are still there serving apps and what not!

    At the medical center I worked at; security was extremely poor. We migrated from SMS to Cerner which had alot of NT servers involved though the database was Oracle on a Open Vms platform.

    I've never worried about certs until I was recently laid off after spending 9 years at one place. Seen people do well with or without, have considered the cissp awhile ago, but still prefer hands on experience. Thanks for the comment anyway....PS: I'm looking and researching for work if you could use any. Dave

    you got that right Sir, can't believe the amount of potential entry points a big corp. can make available with pca and gotomypc, not to mention the hard drive sharing/ms networking etc. if the fed net is anything like the corp networks, I can't imagine it will be secure......D
