Q: Are there any plans to do things such as indexing the projects on SourceForge and adding them into the search database on the Google Code site?
A: Oh yes. We definitely want to do that, as with FreshMeat. That's pretty far off though...

Q: So do you think you'll see many converts from sites like SourceForge and FreshMeat to Google Code?
A: Yeah, there will probably be a couple. Also, we don't offer the kind of services that SourceForge does. We're doing something both less and different.

    Q:

They don't seem to be doing anything innovative or even exciting. They're just using the power & name of google to create another tool.

It's time we put away the Conkers and Contras and Castlevanias of our past and focus on the games we have yet to dream of

This message should be for video game developers, not video game consumers. Developers definitely need to get their heads out of their @sses and start dreaming up new, creative ideas instead of just taking the easy way out with throwbacks. Consumers on the other hand have little impact on what games are being developed, and therefore consumers can do whatever they want. If they want throwbacks or if they want brand new fresh ideas, no biggy. But the writer of this article needs to direct his ranting towards the appropriate people.

  13. Physical Size ... More Songs! on Warner to Sell Music on DVD · · Score: 1

So, if this were to actually happen. And companies were to start selling DVD music players for cars, walkman, stereos, etc. This could become really cool and interesting! Think of the physical size of a DVD vs a CD. Instead of artists spitting out 10 or 12 songs per album, they could produce 100+ if desired! Or, something kinda interesting, with each DVD you buy, the artists could include all the previous songs they ever recorded. Imagine compilation DVDs, they could include Billboard top 100 or something large like that. I don't know how high the prices would sky-rocket, but it would be neat to see that even at the highest quality, they could still pack tons and tons of songs onto one DVD.

I agree. It's so stupid. We have contruction crews that will come out and work 3rd shift in the dark on bridges, but for regular day heavy traffic constructions sites, they only work during the daylight, and only until like 5pm. Why????? Couple of points 1.) It would arguably safer or just as safe at night when traffic levels are at their lowest vs during the day at their highest 2.) why do they only work till 5pm? they should seriously work 24 hours straight and have different shifts just like a factory. example, in the midwest during the summer it's light out until 9pm, but they quite 4 or 5 hours early
