Only for new apps. I`ll be writing/fixing DOS apps for years... dont forget the hundreds of thousands of DOS apps running on 2/3/486s and which work just fine, thank you very much. Why change them? I mean, if you cant do it 1) for free, and 2) with 0% chance of no bugs being introduced, forget it.
Perhaps it was a joke? I mean, its funny, and its been moderated as `funny`. Of course, i`m only guessing. Certainly it didnt contain `this is a joke` as part of the text. But i`ve noticed several jokes like that. Its almost as if you`re supposed to work that out for yourself...

What fucking year is it? Am i expected to have a spare machine just for looking at retro websites? If it doesnt look good at 1024x768 or higher, then just forget it. The very idea that i`ll change my display settings to look at a website!!
Trust "is" not transitive? Surely the definition of trust differs from person to person? Its like that old chestnut "my enemies enemy is my friend" which gets treated as if it was passed down from God himself, rather than just being a bunch of crap.
What about the scarcity of decent games/music? How is this going to be addressed if people can just copy a game/cd because `it didnt cost anything to make the cd`. this is just such a bullshit argument.
How many sites make money again? Not sites which are the way you contact existing companies - sites which appeared out of nowhere to make money selling information?
I dont like Mozilla cos the fonts look `wrong` - also, a lot of controls (like radio buttons which are circular, but with ugly boxes around them). Yuck.
which would be...who? Children? Idiots? Republicans? Who exactly wants words missing? And why? I dont get it. If its in the dictionary, or thesaurus, isnt that enough?
Please not that BuffySpeak is not allowed on this site. (That goes for uptalking too? You know, like when your voice goes up? during or at the end of a statement? so it sounds like a question? and its very annoying?)
Also, if you search for a phrase in quotes on Google, it says something like `ignoring `if`` as its too common. Uh, yeah, but its in quotes? So i want to match the phrase, not just some of the words.
Well, if os`s had version control style file systems, you could just `label` the hd at any given point, then when you screw it up, just rollback to that label and there you go. Sure, back it up occasionally too, but most problems are caused by installing/uninstalling demo software, and clicking on the `wrong` thing, rather than hd failure.
I`ll get a PS2 when its at a sensible price (getting there, £200 in the UK), but I have to say my PSX1 has crashed many, many times. I hope the PS2 is better.
..how they can honestly expect to be able to force people using only Free software (like the Debian distro) to run/not run certain software. Surely this will require a change in several laws (including the First Amendment)? Can anyone please explain how this bill will affect Free software users?

"I was using social engineering"
You mean lying, right?

Not long now until another free search engine comes along and replaces Google in the same way that Google replaced Altavista!

I just stuck the line:
user-agent Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Hi Bill, another sneaky MS trick, eh?!)
into my junkbstr.ini file. Close JunkBusters, then load it again, then try.

Driver you can drive through the walls and enter the twilight zone! it will crash eventually.

Wrong. Unless you`re going to use non-MS software to post it. Remember, its against your license agreement to disparage MS using its own software!
Twisted metal 2, vigilante 8, grand theft auto, Driver 1. Vigilante 8 and GTA are by far the worst.

Hey hey HEY - GNU Winux to you, buddy...lest the hairy one gets upset.

Its been done. Read `the cuckoos egg` by clifford stoll. They worked out the hacker was in Germany via a similar method to the one you described.

What the fuck? Who was in charge of them? Jesus, do you work for them or something? Unbelievable!
Get two accounts. One normal one, and one for when you want to post something anonymously, or which would lose you karma (assuming you care).
