    it is funny to watch others get so worked up about whats posted on slashdot, i mean, i'd love to have the motivation to have a 40 post long flame war about why that post was taking up to much of their time, and why they object to slashdot wasting its server space with insignificant storys.

    If you have dsl then you will be in a budle of 50-20 if you have two connections in the same bundle then you arnt going to see any increase in bandwidth when all your neibours are on the net because you will still have to share with 48 other people. Maybe their is a minimum bandwidth per dsl adapter but i wouldnt count on it. i would check the service gaurantee before sending off any more money.

    actually Benadryl has a very similair effect to me as weed, guess i have low tolerance, but if i take Benadryl i have less chance of making it through the day without falling asleep at work or sitting their for twenty minutes playing with a paper clip and elastic band then dissapreaing for an hour in search of doritos. if i take weed ok so i zone but i can actually get stuff done, admitadely not what i'm meant to but you no what i mean, still reckon she was stoned though.

    That rattle is useually the sound off every sigle plastic thing in the car vibrating against the plastic thing next to it, when you have two 10" subs pushing that much air around they rattle pretty much anything including the front numberplate usually... oh well we think we look cool anyway *grin*

    dynamat was never meant to reduce noise its meant stop the pannels in your car vibrating, and it does it very well, but one roll is never enought you need about £200 worth of dynamat to do a small eruo hatchback properly so it aint exactly cheap.

    Xboxes/ps2 and consoles in genral are bought still a lot for kids/early teens, kids have the old tv, or the little 14" portable with no scart lead still. they dont have htsc compatible sets as a rule.

    the firewire ports on the xbox are actually not firewire they are iee 1394 compatible on the data side but they lack the power source required to be fully compatible with the apple branded friewire standard however they would work (if anybody built anything to work with them) with firewire deivice using the correct cable. the iLink ports on sony products just lack the power side of the standard.

    all of the above is from memory and could be wrong...

    no offense but your cell phone tarrifs suck, do you still pay for incomming calls as well? And can you not manually select which network to use when your roaming? doesent it come up on the screen with the network name? On UK phones you can manually select which network to use when you are in a diffrent county roaming, plus it shows which network you are using on the main screen of your phone. Damit i can even use a french network from the uk if the weathers good!

    But because of the fact that 80% of people have a mobile most tarrifs are moving to it cost the same to call any sort of phone in your country for the same amount, I pay £25 a month for 200 mins to any mobile network or landline (apart from premiums) makes budgetting eseaeir when you dont have to worry about he cost

    ha, i'm in danger of getting my account cancelled for me, why? well its not cos i send spam, porn, or launch DOS attacks from my accounts its because BTinternets anytime 24/7/365 service now only allows you on for 12 hours a day, yes they changed the contract, dont you wish you lived where i do, no broadband, (which is now cheaper than my 65K isdn) and local calls arnt free. somtimes i do envy the US

    lets see, say i type linux once a day for ten years, i reackon the avaredge time it takes is a second to type linux to type GNU/linux, for me at least takes about three times as long, admittedly i'm not a very quick typer but still you get the idea so we have
    1x250 = 250secs a year (cos i'm not gonna type linux evry day) 250 x 10 = 2500 2500/60 = 40minsutes thats ages!! What else could i do with those 40 minuites, loads of stuff, thiers like shit loads of really good tv on and stuff, or i could waste some more time on slashdot.... Hmm i wonder if the toast is done yet...
