    I've seen a little truck that could be programmed with a Ti calculator back at H2k-N.Y. in 2000...

    When programmed you make the truck go forward and it will write the message you programmed in... great for marking the streets in riots ! ;-)

    it's based on mandrake 9.1 and add some better local french support and many useful tools needed in university or college ... everyone should try and make that in their own state/province :-)

    I'm not a gamer myself but when i do try out a game (in single player mode that is) i dont feel i have tried the game if i havent seen the cheats...

    And i'd say that for me, if i wanted to cheat online, it would be for the fact that cheating is actually pushing the possible capabilities of the game to it's limit... Like being Neo eh? ;-)

    It's not a question of showing off, or being evil or even winning... it's the question of getting all the necessary powers to your character. It's the only way to really get into the games, having everything. The problem lies in the fact that it is there, always a possibility in your mind. And i've never liked to put barriers there ;)

    Oh well, i don't see how we'll be preventing that beside playing on remote X terminals ehehe (which requires huge bandwith:-)

    (P.S. Just a point of view, i never actually tried an online cheat and usually play with friends on local LANs anyway so i'd get my head ripped off hehe :-)

    There is a big difference for me between feature-bleeding-edge-patch and stability-bleeding-edge-patch ... As someone said they have tested it and probably tweaked it too!

    Ok, so i can get bad ATI OpenGL support (fast but not all extension activated?) as openSource? and then i can get a closed source complete driver for either ATI or Nvidia?

    Then why would i choose Nvidia if i see a chance of getting an OSS driver for the ATI but nothing for the Nvidia? (or i missed something? :-)

    Does this mean i could go buy a Radeon 9x00 and get out of the box 3D support under xfree4.3 ?

    What about getting up a dual-screen setup with 3D support on at least one screen?
    (i heard people saying it was possible, i really dig a card that could let me do this under X :-)

    i dont know which quake 3 version i have here..
    but it always worked (and worked right now when i tested) ... i m currently on Xfree 4.2.1 on debian. :)

    A light sensor would be a cool thing to have on a laptop (light on the keyboard is useless, but then it's controlled by software!) ... you could program your laptop to, let say, start an mp3 at the rising sun :-)
