Yes, we are not 100% sure although there is a large body of evidence that points in that direction. At what point are you going to be be convinced that Global Warming is a real threat? When florida sinks into the ocean?
Given the seriousness of the disasters we're talking about if we're right, I think its important that we do whhat we can to eliminate it until we're sure global warming is not our doing. You wait till you're 100% sure your house is on fire before buying fire extinguishers, do you? If a few businesses lose a few percent of their profits and SUV drivers have to pay extra...tough.
Most vendors give you the option to buy, say, MS Office when you buy your PC. If you can argue that people who choose Linux do so to avoid paying for Windoze so that they can install pirated copies later, you could also argue that people who buy PCs with Windoze buy no Office do so so that they can pirate MS Office.
Without hard facts, both arguments are equally valid.
If you RTFA there is exactly this kind of incident mentioned. Apparenty having pilots' eyes damaged by laser is not unheard of. Nothing new about this one other than the fact that everything these days is about the "terrorists"

But seriously. Many of these are pretty interesting and well thought out questions. I wish the campaign had a lot more of asking questions like these and a lot less mudslinging.
So 3 years of the crap would be a little over 10 gb of space. Not a huge amount for today's hard drives. Certainly won't be a huge amount for your hard drive 3 years from now. And this is uncompressed. Its definitely feasibly... whether you'd actually want to is a whole different story
On a computer is a rather uncomfortable place to make people, and it would be a long time before you could hire them... better to hire employeed who have already been made 20-30 years ago.
If Intel's CTO really said that its time for him to be fired. Except that he didn't. What he really said is this
Planetlab isn't an alternative to anything. Its not even a network really. Its a research testbed, for people who want to evaluate their protocols on more realistic network conditions than the LAN in their labs. Its a good tool to help design the next generation Internet, but Plantlab in itself isn't going to do anything.
I know this because I happen to be one of the people who does network research on Planetlab, and one of those 429 happens to sit on a table across the room from me right now.

Apparently there isn't an RIAJ to "protect" the "interests" of the artists!
Good ol' Canadians. If Bush wins a second term I'm definitely moving to Canada :)
AFAIK nobody in their right minds uses POP any more. ;-)
Was that meant to be a faceticious remark or is there a real reason to prefer IMAP over POP?
You actually sat and typed that in? You really need to get a life :)
I usually wear jeans, shorts, or sandals
You wear sandals as a substitute for jeans or shorts? I really do think your office needs to tighten up its dress code a wee bit.

BOO!! TERRORIST!
If you can see any point on the ground, someone at any of those points on the ground could hit you with a laser.

What makes the employees on their computer?

Gun's aren't the problem, people are the problem.
So by eliminating people, guns are actualyl helping SOLVE the problem then!
Suicide vs homicide. 'nuff said
I can endorse that. I have a golden retriever myself but have a couple of frieds who have german shepards.
Also most police dogs are german shepards for pretty much the reasons you describe.
