  1. Yesterday was just about left turns. Or at least the title was - but the article seemed to be more or less focused on the same subject.

I once got a call at work from a customer who was angry because he couldn't get the username he wanted. At first I thought he was trying to use something already taken. I asked what username he was trying to use, and it was "pieceofshit." Reminds me of another guy who had a verbal password for when he called in... and it was surprising to me as the verbal was "little shit fucker."

  5. Now the US has a "conservative" president who-

A weird thing about Trump is that he was a liberal for years. He was good friends with the Clintons (or at least at many photo ops with them in the past). Suddenly for this election he says he's a republican and worst enemies with "Crooked Hillary" and "Sleazy Bill" or whatever.

And tons of people just suddenly accept him as a conservative from Day 1.... Oddly if you look back, 7ish years ago, Trump was saying stuff about he didn't care if people were straight or gay and had no problems with that... and Hillary was against gay marriage. Now Trump says he's a big conservative and people say Hillary is too conservative of a Democrat.

  6. One thing is clear: today's "google news is fake news" trump troll is just a brazen attempt to switch the focus away from John McCain and back to him.

Heck, he almost switched focus to himself just by tweeting condolences. I saw several articles popping up criticizing him for sending condolences, but not offering praise for how great McCain was. He barely even has to try to hijack the news at this point.

  7. I do seem to recall something a while back that everyone thought was the most hilarious thing ever. I can't remember what... but basically if you typed "idiot" or "moron" or whatever into google and clicked "I'm feeling lucky" it would take you to Trump's website or whatever.

This just reminds me of the names people would use on AIM. In particular I was always confused by the vast number of: xX_aZn_SenSAtion_goku_Xx variants. I asked a friend why she had her xx azn whatever name and her response was something along the lines of: "It's for my Asian pride, why wouldn't I or anyone else want to display that???" I remember just being really confused as to why it was that important.... and still why it needed the xX's in it... Plus the pride being in being "Asian" rather than Japanese.

I think part of the reason people like bringing up Venezuela and a few others like it is due to some infographic that used to get circulated a lot. It was something showing that the USA had the highest number of gun deaths or whatever.... but didn't show any of those other countries, and the conclusion on it was "USA has the highest number of gun deaths in the whole world," or whatever. So they get mad about that and point fingers at something worse to say: "See! We're not #1 in gun deaths!"
