In fact union companies tend to hire drivers for local driving. These drivers work in parcel or less-than-truckload, or LTL, delivery. Most companies who hire truckers for over-the-road driving are nonunion
Automated rigs would never make sense for local only long haul.
Same with my iPhone 4S, this may have to do with I didn't install iOS 8. Given iOS 8 was built with a new chip in mind upgrading was not an option IMO.
I lost 110lbs by watching my portions, better food choices and getting 60 min of cardio a day. 30 in the morning and 30 in the evening. That was 10 years ago and I still do 30min of cardio a day and it keeps in the 190 range (plus minus 5lbs).
It is simply the new reality we are living in. If NK starts killing people over it, it is only a testament to how out of touch with reality their regime is. ..
. . . or how some people will try anything including poking a sleeping bear with a stick just to get 15 min of fame . ..
Not really down/up votes are not the answer because it gives to much power to the individual user.
What I think Twitter should do is bring back general public verification so that individuals who give up a certain amount of anonymity get it. Then you have the choice to follow only verified accounts, or filter your mentions/timeline with only verified tweets. Sure there are people who will abuse but it would be easier for twitter to block them. Since most people who I know that have personal twitter accounts they already have put themselves out there.
One of the issues with studies like this are they very specific and don't look at the associated environment(s). What I mean is most people who sit all day in a job can be pretty bored/stressed/hate their job kind of people. And since stress is also a contributor to some or all of the diseases ailments they mentioned who is to say that by sitting and working in a boring/stressful job isn't more of the factor than just sitting.
I lived in northern Canada and walked about 2km to school each day (the school was on the other side of town) from when I was 8 and up. While there was only ever one confirmed pedo in town I had to walk through a forest trail to get there. Going north and south on the trail got you to each part of the town, east and west and you could find yourself lost pretty quickly. The dangers you ask, the occasional bear/wolf/moose sighting in the area.
No by getting the Muslim community involved and start turning in these idiots, the war on extremists is never going to be won unless the community that they belong to steps up.
A contractor like Snowden? Putting aside if he did the right thing or not he stole from an organization end of story, which is the one problem I have with what he did.
Why not kill Google, Apple, HP and all other tech companies because you know they also have a hand in the H-1B cookie jar too and are probably doing the same thing as MS for the same reasons.
The 30 patients taken and the contaminated materials are now in some field being killed and or and burned. It's not unthinkable that people in the government or just scared individuals will "purge" the area of all infected individuals. I would suspect this more than anything since the areas are prone to religious superstition. They could see this as punishment and the only way to fix the solution is cleansing of the infected.
I am no scientist but since we want to send more rovers to Mars as well possibly have people there; setting up a network of GPS satellites might be the real next step.
You would think that Tesla would build the plant in Detroit, not only is land cheap and most likely loads of incentives but it would be a direct slap in the face to the big three automakers.
Thank you western civilization for wanting cheap quick food.
Fixed it for you
Sorry but Mozilla killed Firefox a long time go on their own and needed no input from anyone to do it.
Not all truck drivers are unionized.

With regards to warning people... Damned if they do and damned if they don't.
I also predict a massive PR push by various Linux groups starting about 300 days in.

9+ hours of playtime on standard batteries and 1 hour on rechargables.
Coin-sized batteries are that poor when it comes to recharging? What's the point then?
