Since its already a cancerous cell line, how can we be sure its actually useful. Wouldn't successful cancer treatments destroy it altogether? How about the resistance to genetic mutations, perhaps cancerous cells have a higher resistance to further mutations?
Maybe instead of relying on one particularly incredible replication subject shouldn't have stopped us from trying to find more...
Yes, it is solving a seemingly complicated math problem with little effort. No, its is not mathematically computing this. Your brain has learned from experience how much force is necessary, and such. It uses shortcuts via neural pathways to determine answers CLOSE ENOUGH to exact. The reason we trip is because of these shortcuts.
Simple,
Grab the controller so you grab it on the short ends. Turn like a wheel. Instead of using feet, tilt the controller forward to accelerate, pull the controller back to brake. Anything else could be added here. The only reason we drive with a wheel and two feet is because of previous hardware limitations. This is why cars will have joysticks one day.
The problem is other people spoiling the movie for you. I don't know how many times I've come home and told everyone the plot to the movie I just saw. hehehe
I have one of the original model Zaurus's.
Has a keyboard, 16 shades of green lcd, weighs a but too much, several useful apps including a word processor annd spreadsheet, and it connects to the cpu with a serial to usb adapter (serial only necessary, I just don't have serial ports).
Not only do I work for a company that has done what you just said, I was the one that implemented it. (CEO's decision)
Users complained for about a week. Oh I can't get to website X... if website X was deemed work accesable, it was opened up. Or I can't do blah blah.
After all settled down, we found our users no longer used the web for surfing but actually started doing work. Productivity is much higher (along with taking some things away, we were also able to give new tools to users that would have been security nightmares on local machines)
And my job as a sys admin/programmer has been made much simpler. Oh my machine is crashing, or my hard drive died, or well you get the idea.... All I do is replace it with a freshly formatted machine (we keep two in rotation) and install a Remote Desktop Icon on their desktop.
If you were doing your job, you wouldn't care about the invasion of privacy. The company is paying you, you are on their time. If you are doing your things on their time, you are STEALING.
I'm not trying to say we discourage people from using email to contact family, etc. But things like buying concert tickets, etc can be done on one's own time.
Also, loggin emails made it easy for us to spot a salesman (who has since been fired) that not only wasn't using the company email, but actually had the name of a different company in his signature. (found it in a reply from a customer that was cced to another salesman who has been using our server (as is company policy)
I think the video looks pretty real.
I'd actually be even more impressed if this was a render as everything looks absolutely real. Making a robot takes some money and effort, but isn't out of the relm of possibility. Making a render with the lighting effects etc is even out of the question hollywood tech. (Well maybe not quite, but you get my point)
Ok iMac is low-end so compare to cheapest Dell with almost the same functionality.
Dell w 17 inch lcd = $1377 yet it is not an all-in-one
Dell with 20" lcd = $1887
Specs for the Dells otherwise: Pentium 4 at 2.8 Ghz (533 FSB) Windows XP Pro (Can't compare Home to OS X because OS X has all the features of Pro and more) 256 Megs RAM 80 gig hd/160 with 20 inch screen Single Drive: 16X CD/DVD burner (DVD+RW/+R) w/double layer write capability Fireiwre PCI adapter 128MB DDR NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Graphics Card with TV-Out and DVI
What your not getting with the Dells: Gigabit Ethernet Widescreen LCD All in One enclosure 64 bit capability->Especially for linux users A design that begs to be seen, not shoved under a desk.
What your not getting with the iMac: 64 extra megs in the viedo card. Crap trial software you have to remove
The lower end Dell (17") was made to compare with the mid range iMac. $122 isn't all that much considering what benefits you will gain. (IMO).
At the higher end, there is no question in my mind that the iMac is by far the better deal for merely 12 dollars extra.
Feel free to try doing the spec work on your own elsewhere. Just make sure you don't compare OS X to Windows XP Home. OS X's capabilities far outstrip those of XP Home. And if your selling to businesses that need to join a domain, you would need Pro anyway.
If speed isnt an issue: Try Straight Talk. $45 prepaid Available at Walmart http://www.walmart.com/ip/1544...

How in the world can they last both twice as long and half as lon at the same time. 2!=2^-1

Steve Jobs is doing a pretty good job at keeping Apple above and beyond the norm of the computer industry.
What is a cable card?
yes. Cross platform would be nice though
Whats wrong with that, more cushion for the pushin'
Hmmm now if I could only do it the other way around.

The Nokia 2650 and 7650 (Cousins of the N-Gage) have a gameboy emulator with sound available. Its called GoBoy. I love it.
