only real long term soloution is Educating the masses
If thats the only solution, then I can understand the urgency in rearranging the seats on the sun deck of the Titanic.
Have you ever tried educating the masses?
I personally have met users who are barely litterate in English, and have only attended school for three years in their life. However, they can still afford a PC, and believe they can get rich using it. Not only that, they are quite likely to believe that if I tell them "No, Don't buy that, its a scam!" Its because I want to buy it and sell it to whoever they intended to sell it to!
If 25% of Americans are too illiterate to read a childrens story, imagine what its like in 3rd world countries that constitute 75% of the worlds population.
In simple terms - You sir, ARE apart of the problem. and your solution is the least workable on the planet.
So long as 99% of the spam I get is advertising services supplied from America, Microsoft acting is GOOD News. I am almost tempted to buy a copy of WinXP Euro Edition with missing bits.
However, while WinXP is so insecure that BargainBuddies and istBar can hijack my family's browsers, I shall not switch from FreeBSD, and I shall continue recommending switching to Macs as the only reliable cure for spyware for non-geeks.
a) Why I get so much spam from people who cant even spell mortgage
b) That we have clear evidence that mortgage companies make too much profit, and have no need to spend it wisely.
c) Why I get over 100 spams a day from companies that would never ever give me a mortgage (I don't live in America).
Surely these lead generators cannot be any more cost effective than e-mails from African generals. Anyone dumb enough to click cannot possibly be a fit borrower!
Unfortunately, its only available in the Motorola 6800 (not 68000), and not in the 8x86 family.
Actually, several other microcontrollers had similar instructions - they activate the pull-ups and pull-downs in the IO ports at the same time, thus shorting the power rails through the IO port.
This can be relied upon to release all the magic smoke that powers the processor.
Of course, the opposite might just be true... if you want more people to view your site, you might want to consider those who do not have ADSL, or are mobile, or live in a country where 800x600 is still considered hi-res.
Either way, you might want to consider that a good portion of potential viewers will go somewhere else if the word "Flash" appears in the first 30 seconds, or nothing at all appears in the first minute.(You can always have a link to the "Alternative, pointless, bandwidth intensive and painfully slow graphics version").
Sounds fair enough. He has been ordering the entire British Empire around for quite a while now. Not to mention fleecing a good number of Central and local government institutions.
This is not the case. The quality of TV has gone down because the producers have realised that people will watch any old rubbish.
Realistically, very few people can be bothered with this. Long ago, VHS could be used to record programs and skip the ads. My SO still does this. Personally, I dont watch the box, because aside from a couple of car adverts, its not worth watching anyway.
My teenage kids complained last weekthat daytime TV causes brain damage in their friends and relatives.
Advertisers WILL pay if the adverts result in sales, and wont pay otherwise. If they think TiVo is the problem then they will soon wise up. "Days of our Lives" is the problem.
Possibly - since there was nothing else to line it up with. The builders were stark illiterates, who probably couldn't count, let alone measure.
The "astronomy" stuff is what happens when you judge one culture my the standards of another.
In Victorian times, when archeology was getting going, all the large buildings in England were churches, so the inference was that large buildings were for religious purposes. Sure the druids used it, but the Druids did not exist until after stonehenge had been in use for 3,000 years and abonadoned for 1,000. Furthermore, we have good solid evidence that the religious practices of the time involved shrines in the home, and not communal worship.
The Computer/astrology thing came about in the 1970s, when all large govenrment expendature was on computers/space programs, so the assumption was that Stonehenge was a computer/astronomical something. Anyone who thinks it was important to predict the seasons for farming has never been to England. The wheather here is subject to enormous random variations, and folllowing a strict clock would get you nowhere.
The lesson learned is that sonehenge, as the largest manmade thing in Europe at the time, was there to solve man's largest problem at the time. Mans biggest problem at the time of stonehenge was what to eat - what ever it was there for had to be connected with eating. (Yay - it was a stone-age McDonalds!)

I thought the standards involved huge flash features to distract you from the lack of meaning!
Best go elsewhere, rather than wait for the site to load.

Windows Server Edition cant even boot headless. How is that ready for prime-time? More like "unfit for the purpose for which it is sold"!
If NetBSD won't run on it, it probably isn't a computer. Otherwise, wait a week.
Seriously, If someone came up with a totally different (Cell Based) architecture, and it ran at 4Gz and didn't p*ss on Wintel, they should be shot.
I will buy the first cell based machine running OSX, even if it is a Beta, and won't run any games. (But I need OpenOffice, PHP5 and PostGreSQL.)
Are you suggesting that If I stopped sneezing while at the keyboard, my PC would get less spyware?
If thats true, I'll take a double dose of anti-histamine every morning, even if it does make me sleep til lunch time!
This may be really useful for sales, but it may also lead to a serious amount of bug finding!
Are you really sure you want your device drivers debugged?
Well speed cameras watching Windows boxes was not going to earn much dosh, was it?
Even if one option was "transfer your bank account contents to an unidentified account in Nigeria" some people would still choose it.
Some people are beyond hope.
50% of my spam is from a canadian pharmacy who were gullible enough to buy an "opt-in" e-mail list with 5 million copies of my email address!
So when are they going to send those scumbags from ISTBar to the electric chair?
My question is, Under CPM, why cant you do
pip mt0:=fd0:*.*
Nothing like facing reality.
Input...Need more Input

Some people dont speak English at all!
Surely this is arse-about-face: what is needed is to replace the tourists with concrete ones!

With your attitude, bit America and Al Quaida will be attacking them in days. The Ganjaweed have probably already attacked!
OK, so you don't have a US keyboard. We don't care :-)
