    Sure it exists, I think they call it a "trackball" or "touchpad". Seriously, I've never had a non-broken mouse that didn't click.

    I have yet to see a trackball that doesn't use "mouse buttons."

    I used to swap a 1.2 and a 400meg hdd out at school all the time. Just had to disable the ide controler and re-enable it after pluggint the other hdd in. Win2k had no problem going back and forth between drives. It went ape if you just swaped without reinitializing the controlers, tho. Everything showed up as garbage files. I believe had I told win2k they were dynamic disks I could have skipped the reinitializing, oh well.

    The Apple Education store has great discounts, you can get titles such as Final Cut Pro 3 for $299, MS Office v.X for $199, and File Maker Pro 5.5 for $149!

    Why? This will raise the price of the iPod for Canadian customers by $100CAD. Apple Canada now sells the iPod for $599CAD($25USD less than in the US), this would raise the price of the iPod for Canadian customers to $699CAD($40USD more than we pay for the iPod).

    I also think Apple sees this as just a preliminary step. What happens when they try to tax all media storage?

    Things that are highly unstable at times, and perfectly stable at others(Windows) should be named things like Magnesium. Boxes that are relatively stable and mission critical(*nix) should be named after the inert gasses or stable metals. Of course, any machine running IIS should be named after a radioactive element. It deteriorates over time and Code Red will "nuke" your bandwidth...

    On the subject of better registrars, my experience with Godaddy has been excellent. Changine contact info, billing info, registrant info, name servers, etc is a click away. I have three domains registered with Godaddy.com and I intend to keep using them. Also, they have some of the best prices(I believe on par with dotster) around.

    ...but not very practical. Much like you saw the girl in Jurassic Park looking and hoping to find the security program. This would probably be wonderful for novice users(that, or a nightmare). I think it's meant to be more fun that useful.

    ...but the Nintendo is really, really good at delivering a game with great gameplay that really never gets boring.

    I would agree for past games. But SSBM has no replay value(probably for lack of extensive combos) and gets pointless after unlocking all the chars, etc. I hope Nintendo deliveres another Mario64 with Mario Sunshine. I'm really looking forward to that and Resident Evil.

    All K7 and up AMD chips are clock locked. The 1700+ uses an 11x multiplier. Underclocking it to 1100MHz(From the original 1477MHz[11x133.33]) is as simple as setting the FSB to 100MHz. Although if you are doing this you might as well purchase a Duron 1100(11x100) for half the price.

    And, yes, it can be unlocked. Tom's has a titorial for unlocking them.

    Which I believe states that transister count doubles every 18 months, and I have noticed that MHz count on Intel CPUs tend to follow the same line, we should be ready for this speed CPU(Given Intel's trend) in our desktops in another 8.25 years, better known as Q3 2010.

    This was in fact a reference to Windows, not Mac OSX.

    On the subject of Windows stability. If you're not using that crap VIA puts out, but instead use tested Intel solutions, it is not an issue. Since my migration to Windows 2000, I have had a total of eight memory dumps. That is since my initial use of Windows 2000, RC2. As a desktop OS in the Intel world, nothing comes close(available software versus stability). Eight memory dumps over twelve systems in a period of Three years seems like a good track record to me.

    I will probably be modded to hell for posting anything positive about Windows, but these are the facts.

    I see linux gaining a stronger foothold in China now that the gov't is starting to frown upon pirated software. China is the software pirate capital of the world, but that will come to a lesser extent in the next few years.

    While that thought did cross my mind, I doubt it. SerialATA has a long ways to go before it becomes standard. My guess is that for then next eight years(I don't expect to see SerialATA for at least another year) we'll have IDE and SerialATA on the same motherboard(How many years did it take to kill ISA?). My guess is that Apple will upgrade to ATA133 when they upgrade to DDR-SDRAM.

    WOW! The artists are getting an awesome deal. They make $29900 for a gold album! Sounds like a deal to me! Out of that $29900 comes studio fees, advertizing, etc. Lets be kind and say all that only costs $24900. So, a five artist band gets to split $5000 for a gold album. Sounds like a deal to me!
