Sheesh, fine, you win. Who'd have thought there were so many grouchy accountants around here...

But hey, at least you're not being a jerk like that other one.

"Sell", "Throw away" == actions that turned the potential loss into an actual loss.

Say you bought a share/option at whatever, $10. It trades one day for $100, and you think about selling it, but don't. The next day it's trading at $90. You sell it for $90. You could have gotten $100. Have you lost $10? No! You've gained $80!

I dunno. It's pretty clear we're all talking about at least two different things in this thread. I just don't see changes in potential gain/loss as actual gain/loss.

These guys were caught trying to steal credit card data. They weren't 'just looking through the open door'.

Lowe's should catch a lot of grief from Sarbanes-Oxley, and from their customers, but to shift the blame entirely to them is wrong.

Cute. Yet another cheap shot at Bush's pronunciation. My, we certainly don't see many of *those* these days. He's such a novelty, because no one else in the entire world has ever mispronounced words. =P

You probably think that National Public Radio and Public Radio International are a group of highly educated people, right? Do you know how many NPR and PRI hosts slur that word just like Bush? I've heard at least 5 that consistently say 'terrist'. And I only get to hear 2 hours of NPR/PRI a day.

Really. You should start listening to the people around you. You'll be surprised at what you hear.
