    Finally they will start selling 970 workstations with RH or SUSE installed. Hell even MS said there would be like 5 64bit longhorn version, coupled with C#, we would get some real competition in the hardware business.

    I've got 3 invoices that say over 700 dollars per repair of my ibook (covered under apple care). What some online doc says is not impressive.

    Well that is all well and good, but I (someone who has not signed up for this skewing those numbers a bit) had replaced my logic board 3 times. Hell when I first switched to mac my ibook (which was stationary on my desk) died in the first week of owning it. So not everyone who has had issues has signed up. I've had my logic board die 3 times (not from abuse, I assure you). So thats 3x as many cases of a bad logic board for a single shipped ibook.

    must have been 10.0, I've had no issues displaying any of the right to left languages on 10.2, and my friend used mellel to write in hebrew on 10.1.

    I think its the least power sucking laptop from a well known maker on the market. I think the g3 in the 800mhz 12" draws like 7 watts or something obscenely low like that.

    Do NOT play this game with rotweilers, or similar sized animals. I know this rottie that now attacks any spec of light it sees (cellphones, watches, etc). You do not want a 90 pound rottie jumping on you because your belt buckle reflected light for a second.

    we got 2 and 3 on that list Minolta color laser printer, great quality 1100 bucks, cheap consumables. At least in my state you can make your cable company only sell you the channels you want, and it cant be more expensive than the "packages."

    I wire mine up under my shirt so its clipped to my button side edge and it stays hidden. Kinda nice to be able to be wearing it without my teachers seeing it.

    heh... you either dont golf or play baseball. You compare buying a mit and ball to buying a 1500 dollar pc. Being in shape working on your swing, batting practice, driving ranges. Real equipment, shoes/cleats, proper attire, etc. I have yet to save enough money to try to get into golf. Your arguement is funny at best.

    Ok, some things about this ordeal: The energy is connected to the grid, not just the town that has to put up with them. The energy is next to nothing. It destroys prime sailing, and fishing areas. They look ugly as all hell. They are taller than the Statue of Liberty. The company doing this has an advertising campaign that is outright lying to the public. Nantucket Sound is not JUST about Nantucket. It is about Cape Cod, Martha's, and Massachusetts as a whole. Nobody I know on the cape (ie the non super rich annoying natucket/martha's people) want these towers.

    The same demographics that buy tivos are the ones not targetted well by ads or tv shows (imo). And honestly Id like more programming that targets ME, and I wouldnt mind ads for things I would want to buy.

    Lets see more shows like farscape, firefly, who's line is it anyway, futurama, etc.

    Ahh, but aol actually PAYS to send out those mails, and frankly I dont mind the dvd cases they send me. Now if only they would distribute their aol cds as some sort of CDRW media that their software resides on 50 megs of the cd, and we can use the other 650 megs for our own data. :)
