I have lived in the same house my entire life. When I was born the area code was 312 along with Chicago, then it changed to 708, then to 847, and then they made it necessary to dial the area code a little while ago. Ameritech (now SBC, Illinois Bell a long time ago) reserves a lot of numbers due to people's stupidity, i.e. 1-312-312-1234 and businesses hold up way more than they need, which causes protests by watchdog groups around here whenever they start talking about changing things again.
It offers the same benefit (one might argue it offers a greater benefit) over film that DVD does over VHS. I saw Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within on a digital screen at the local AMC 30 megaplex and the difference is breathtaking. It gives you very crisp visuals that have no artifacts whatsoever. The benefit is definitely worth it. Also, it is much easier to transfer to DVD.
That Treo homepage has been up for more than a year. It previously had information about the Treo and was linked to by other technology and music sites. Probably at least a month ago, the site posted the message you now see, which was no surprise because the Treo was scheduled to come out in Fall 2000. Obviously eDigital has decided to pick a different manufacturer than Hy-Tek and go ahead with the production of the Treo 10. Hy-Tek did claim to be based in Illinois on the old site and seem to be legitimate from all I've seen. Maybe they just picked a shady webmaster.
So when are we going to see the first Segway modding sites? Which leads me to my next question, how long will it take for Kamen to unleash the unholy wrath of the DMCA on said site? Seriously though, I doubt anyone will be able to figure this thing out for a long time (or would be willing to risk their safety to do so) and Kamen doesn't seem like a DMCA aficionado.

Ahhh you got to it before me. I'm not even a physics geek! At least I remembered that form high school physics class.
Yeah so lets get rid of the space program and put all of the money into the welfare program! Like that's going to happen.

This will undoubtably be followed by another announcement, claiming that MS pioneered the "Trustworthy Computing" movement in the computer industry.
