No need. 'Mechs have a badass security system: screw up the voiceprint or passphrase, and a feedback surge through the neurohelmet scrambles the brain of the attempted thief. He'll be in no shape to fight off the mechwarrior when he comes to get his 'mech and paste the thief under his metal foot.
Alcohol is just a carbon chain with one hydrogen replaced with an -OH. It's close enough to oil that bacteria could probably metabolise it too. So where's your alcohol now?
But you DID pay for windows. Unless you're a 1337 w4r3z d00d. Where do you think Micro$hit gets the money for their world domi^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^Hbrowser?
I actually thought about using seawater directly, but as you said it's grimey salty crap and so it would gunk up/corrode the pipes. So I'd use it to cool the heatexchanger with freshwater in the system.
Before you laugh, hear me out. One of the problems everyone here mentions is that dry air needs to get in/out. How about this: case is sealed(w/silcone, I guess), no air goes in or out. You seal it in a dry place, to keep out moisture. How do you cool it you say? Just look at the title. Run hoses in and out for the water cooler, sealing the holes around them, and then you have a completely sealed case except for external connectors.
Would that make it Icy-hot? (somehow I doubt that stuff would support life very well)

Allow me to make a cool, reasoned reply to your flame. If the number is skewed because of suicide bombings, wouldn't that make the palestinian number smaller? After all, a suicide bomber usually kills at least one other person. As for your second point: while I do believe that the palestinians carry at least some blame for starting this conflict, I also believe that the israelis have handled this situation incorrectly, through poor policies for handling situations. An article in today's New York Times tells of two pregnant palestinian women who were rushed to the hospital by their husbands and family to give birth. Both their cars were fired upon, without warning, at an israeli checkpoint, and both families were killed, with the exception of the babies, who were successfully delivered, one of the mothers, and one other person. Now tell how it is all the palestinians fault again?
Nothing like a reasoned reply to a trollish flame.
Excuse me, but the fourth URL you listed is the new york state bar association's Mock Trial case. While tthis may correspond to real life, it is not an actual example of a computer trepass conviction, especially considering that the trials are written so that they may go either way. How do I know all this? Because I am on my school's Mock Trial team for this year. This year's trial again involves issues that slashdot certainly would care about, including privacy and identity theft, but I digress. In summary, your fourth URL listed is irrelevant.
umm... k. X-men was not "just a movie." It was a movie, several series of comic books, a few animated series, and of course numerous computer games and other paraphenelia. So X-men is not "just a movie." Though I take it that your point is that not all mutations are like X-men.
Evolution !=mutation.
Mutation means the random changes that allow creatures to evolve, though that's not all these changes do. They also cause cancer and the like, and are the reason that radiation exposure leads to cancer. Evolution involves more than just these random changes, however. It also involves the recombination of these through sexual reproduction, and the survival of the best of them through natural selection. Therefore, the fact that mutation still is present does not mean that evolution will occur.
Does the backup medium have to be tape? Hard drives are in fact more reliable than some tape, and would have a faster data transfer rate. A pair of hard drives hooked into a RAID array could backup over 200 GB of data and then be taken offsite just as easily as tape. Considering the fact that the drives would likely cost $400, tops, and could be reused many more times than tapes, I don't understand why people bother with tape anymore.
The reason it's impossible to see inside of atoms is not because of the length of pulses, it's because the wavelength of light is larger than the size of an atom. So what I am wondering is...How the hell would length of pulses change anything? We would need higher frequency/lower wavelength light, not just short pulses of it.
did I mewntion this has integrated FIREWIRE, as well as USB? it's also expandable and user-serviceable, unlike a laptop. I priced out one of these+parts and for $1000, I can get a DVD, Geforce2 (for DVI out), good proc, 256 MB RAM, 15" LCD, wireless keyboard, 40+ GB hard drive, floppy drive. essentially a complete system with larger monitor and hard drive, and better performing too, all for the same price.
A shuttle SV24, since that thing runs on a fairly low wattage power supply but has integrated ethernet, small form factor, quiet operation, and plenty of other stuff useful in a server. It also looks cool and supports PIIIs up to 1 ghz.

I wonder if they also use the pigeons to carry data on their internal network?

that's because their name is 'Nsync, not N'Sync

Make anyone else think of the X-Men? Mention of mutation always brings that to mind. [X-men theme plays in head]

I actually first thought of the clan eugenics program from battletech.

why not get a static hostname? It's free.
A.K.A. CD-ROM drive. Yet another innovative use of technology by clueless users.

yep, that was the song.
our chemistry teacher had us listen to a song with all the elements in it(that had been discovered at the time) And it rhymed!
why don't you come up with something even remotely positive to say?
