Yeah but remember when they got realy mad because the source wasn't available. The program was still in its infancy and they totally overreacted.

XBMC will be pretty darn good when it reaches the polish XBMP 2.4 is at now. They are reninventing the wheel with this one but XBMP was full of bloat and this complete rewrite will allow them to make the program faster and much more modular.

There is still a thriving Anime community, of which most is entirely legal. Bittorrent really got it's start with Anime and I can see it staying with it for a long time to come. There has really not been such a boon for fansubbers, and anime fans alike, since the advent of Divx.

On another subject, it not only the Bittorrent sites that are being targeted it is also its users. I am actually surprised it hasn't been mentioned. People have received emails from their ISPs who were contacted by movie studios, with cease and desist orders. The files they where sharing are almost exclusively movies that are still in theaters.

Just like any other hobby. I why do car guys go to extremes? Might be because they enjoy it... naw. It has always been the stories personally. Since most anime has its roots in Manga (japanese comics) they usually have a good story. There are some of course that are your basic run of the mill crap, but most have some merit. I also find anime to be more of an art form then cartoons meant for a North American market since it's not bounded by stereotypes. Not to mention how many different types of anime there are, find a type you enjoy and you'll never run out of shows to watch. In any case if you never find an anime series that does it for you I hope you don't dismiss the artform, some anime movies are the greatest ever made and Cowboy Bebop: The Movie is among them. Other Greats: Grave off the Fireflies, Akira, Princess Mononoke, My Neighbour Totoro, Porco Rosso, Spirited Away(well anything studio ghibli realy), Ghost in the Shell
