Ahh those were the days, when the little people could tell the big people to, basically, go "Shove it up their orifice-of-choice"... and get away with it. The big people didn't like that so much and bought themselves some laws that said being rude to them doesn't fly anymore. They also bought a nice Indoctrination Campaign that has turned "Sharing is Caring" to "Sharing is Thievery".

Sadly, I remember the days when the internet was everything it was everything it was promised to be; a great tool for the people. Now, it has become a tool to control the people and for benefit and profit. Where everything is tracked, monitored and filtered for your own protection.

Dammit! What have they done to our Internet?!?!

AMD produces a binary blob catalyst driver for X. It's just not as good as nVidia's binary blob driver. AMD has released specs for the OSS driver dev's to use. In my experience the OSS drivers, currently, while not having as many features, are more stable than the catalyst driver.

I agree this is probably a way for them to improve compatibility with things like the Tegra2/3/(future) SoC's. As the owner of a ASUS Transformer, there have been a few issues where more timely fixes would have been appreciated.

That being said, for my use model, the only issue that has caused me grief was the HDMI output would not sync with my particular model of TV. I am very happy overall with the Transformer and ASUS in general.

Similar story, when I was younger my Father, sister ( A bit of a tomboy ) and I were playing catch in the backyard with a baseball. My father tossed it to my sister who missed it and it hit her square in the eye and quickly became a great shiner with a fairly decent amount of swelling. To make sure there was no serious damage we all went to the hospital to see the doctor. When asked by the doctor how it happened, my sister (Still in tears) pointed right at my dad and said "He did it!". He was promptly removed from the room for a few hours while me and my sister were asked all sorts of questions by some "Nice people from the hospital". He never really said what he was doing during this time, but I'd imagine that he was being grilled pretty well.

Can I just point out that they pay *do* pay the same rate that you do. Our tax system *technically* works like so (percentages for illustration only....)

    0-25,000 tax rate 35%
    25-50,000 tax rate 30%
    50-100,000 tax rate 25%
    100-250,000 tax rate 20%

So if you make 50k and the rich man makes 100k, the rich man pays the same amount of tax as you do up to 50k after that he still pays taxes above and beyond what you do. The problem is the rich also have the money for lawyers and lobbyists to buy tax law loopholes and high-end accountants to take advantage of those said loopholes.

That being said, to try to avoid the crap that will be flung around this forum, I'd like to point out that I'm a registered independent. I support (to name a few) raising taxes, cutting spending, womens right to choose and responsible gun ownership. I'm shocked that we elected a black president before a woman, I'm even more shocked that nobody has tried to assassinate him yet. It almost makes me proud to be an American again.
