PCs are generally good priced until you invest in a medium-range Nvidia or ATI video card which would hover $200+.
Maybe seeing an article like this Nvidia and ATI should drop their prices, since their overachieved, undersupplied cards now equal 70 to 90% of a PC cost.
I have a 1-year old iPod mini with a dead battery. Now I heard Apple lost the law suit and began a reimbursement program for customers who are willing to go thru the hassle. I say fuck it.
Does anyone know of another player that can play the songs out of the car stereo like iTrip? I just need alittle help in deciding a replacement.
The original poster is not a troll. There is a valid point that Chess is a better game than Poker in society. I am speaking neutral not leaning toward Poker or Chess cause I hate them both anyways.
The game of Poker will never be open to all audiences. It is a game aimed at RICH adults, limiting the potential audience. I am not saying you and your college buddies can't get together and play free poker. But schools would never encourage the game like Chess. There is a real scientific aspect to Chess that Poker does not have.
People bring up things like "poker face" that are obviously additional marketing to the game. Poker is strictly about winning money. Chess is a game of strategy that many never end. Poker ends when your wallet is clean. Chess is worthy enough for IBM and other bigname companies to build super high performance chess simulators for.
This is abit off topic... but... does anyone know when the original marvel "uncanny X-men" DVD will EVER come out? I am referring to the cartoons televised in the early 90s.
You shouldn't even give them any idea. I am only saying this because every person I have met who defends the fact video game causes violence is so fucking stupid.
These are the same people who safeproof their toothbrush so their kids won't stab themselves.
The big problem with discussing women in video game is the word "Sex". Why can't this topic be discussed using the word "Gender". That's where the big problem start or that's where the problem is.
When it comes to enterprise storage, the heavy cost is not associated with the equipment. As expensive as a tape library might sound, you only buy it once. It's the support and service bills to follow that STK capitalize on.
I sat here for hours reading everyone's post. It took a long time before someone finally mentioned M$ is afraid to show their code. I was just waiting for an inferior-engineering type comment.
A Mac didn't even make a Mac. No one was interested in Apple's hardware for the past 10 years. I'll tell you what brought the interest back to the majority... not SCSI or iMac fancy cases.
It's the iPod! Whether Macs use Intels or not, it doesn't even matter. What matters is that iPod stays impressive, making Apple a preferred brand.
NO they won't. It's half marketing and half manufacturing. It cost MORE $$$ to arm customers with an xbox at the beginning of the manufacturing cycle than the middle of a cycle.
Think of buying parts. Parts cost $20 in 2005. Parts cost $15 in 2006. Multiply parts by a cazillion units.

In other news the scientist claimed North pole was not moved after all. That his pet husky dog moved the measure stick when he had his back turned.
Let me see...
Double Dragon - Lamest kung fu.
Mario Brothers - Where's the shrooms?
Street Fighter - Jean Claude Van Dammit
Mortal Kombat II - No comment.
Problem is really not color. Problem is that analysis can only be done with selected samples. Rarely are analysis done with the entire population.
Very well said. This should have been first post.

I have no idea why people mark this poster a troll. Everything this poster said is legit, and deserve a +5 Informative for bringing up the facts.
The Phantom is a myth console that has been talked about for a decade.
Nothing against the organization, but did they really think they can reserve the entire sky for their software?
I have yet to see a laptop HD that runs equal speed with a desktop HD.
You should be alittle honest.
1. - If your CEO has a strong marketing background, your release date is whenever the customer said so.
2. - If your CEO has a strong financial background, your release date is whenever the customer shows money.
3. - If your CEO has a strong sales background, it's ready before the first line of code is written.
4. - If your CEO has a strong technical background and not in the development trenches with you. See Number 1.
Oh don't worry, the awards take turn. Next year it'll go to the Phantom.

Assuming M$ is a $30,000,000,000 company and they make .01 percent interest in the bank this month. That easily takes care of that $9 million.
Judges need to figure out how to put a dent on these guys. Like take excel out of the office suite.

IMHO what separates hardcore and casual is not the game they play. Is how they play it. Some example:
Hardcore = People who play wolfenstein and study tactics and play the same map 40 times.
Casual = People who play wolfenstein, enjoy it, try a new game.

In other news hitech jobs are coming back as US companies plan to hire millions of mail-readers.
I think books and websites is all people can recommend. If you want to be realistic, the real EE hobbies can add up very fast financially.

I knew someone who worked in the tech area of the NYSE floor. They used to run alot of M$ windows clusters. Not sure if it's still true.
Hey if you wanna see the movie now. Just go drink a little beer, rent Aliens 2 and Starship Troopers. It'll be the same thing.
