This year I tried the line of Sega 2k sports games online, I couldn't believe how addicting it was. In the past, I have become addicted to Wolfenstein and other fps.
This new PS2 online games addiction is new. On weekdays I find myself staying up till 4am!
When you watch sports, they have these commercial that saids the show cannot be rebroadcasted in any way without the WRITTEN consent of blah blah blah. Legally, you don't own it. But in this world, techies > lawyers.
They should care more about AIX. Comparing hands-on to linux, solaris, hpux, irix.... I'd have to say AIX is superior in almost everyway. But it is the most unmarketed product coming out of IBM?!
IIS is going to be the last web browser with good ASP support. The last thing left for ASP is the quick and easy access to Access and any other MS sql database.
I too was so happy with firefox, I jumped on the thunderbird train for a day. Only to be extremely disappointed.
The ultimate mail client would do multiple pop accounts, multiple hotmail, multiple gmail accounts all at the same time with one address book. I can't believe in 2005, M$ outlook still can't do multiple hotmail accounts at the same time.
You people are totally missing the point. I am not saying noobs don't deserve the rights to use linux. The idea is to throw tough questions at competitors.
To ask M$ employees stupid questions like "What do you think of linux?" is a complete waste of time. You are committing marketing suicide to wait for YOUR competitor to tell you... you have a nice product.
The concept of statistics is flawed. I don't know how they rounded it to 97%. I don't think there is 100 DVD copying software out there. I don't think they tested all 100% either way.
I had a doubleedge sword question that never got asked.
How long did you run Linux in the office? If he said temporary then he's not in a position to judge Linux, since he's a noob. If he said a long time, then it's got to be better than windows.
From the start I am one of those people that would like to see Google stay a private company forever. Once they go public, it's all about meeting the shareholder's numbers. It's no longer about meeting the market's need for better product.
Well the problem is the word "secret". There is a serious definition problem here. What's published is not exactly blueprint and patent design info. That would be giving away the "secret". Apple is just ultra sensitive when someone market their overpriced products before they did.
I know people who have had jobs with a relatively low level security clearance. These people claim that they could hear their phones tap at random times. I can't even imagine what people with high level clearance have to deal with.
In 1996 or 1997 I tried to learn Delphi to add more to my resume. Correct me if I am wrong... but this language just wasn't freely downloadable like java or perl. As a result, this language never became super popular.

Well I have used Fruitloop. Those VST and DXI plugins seem overly complicated. Rosegarden maybe the fresh start that these type of software need.
Shareware is free software within a time period. After the expiration it's nothing unless you pay up.

Who cares. M$ got away with selling beta products for a decade.

You know, I am shocked that Cakewalk and Fruitloops haven't ported their software over to linux in general. Rosegarden would be a start.
This generation of old crusty politicians running the homeland security department is not going to be much, so an F grade wouldn't surprise me.
I would worry in the next generation when legit techies + Patriot Act starts invading all your privacy.
Hey that's not even Blizzard. They don't have the balls to do that. That's Square Enix.

In godfather the movie series they specifically not use the word MAFIA.
In M$ they specifically not use the word SATANIC.
It doesn't matter. The whole thing is wrigged. Bush will win everything by default.

Redhat Enterprise 3.0 went thru 5 major updates in a span of 1 year. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the enterprise edition.
Why does the enterprise version, which is marketed to be stable and rarely changing, have more updates than the Fedora set? It makes zero sense.

Given the millions of linux distros out there, Xandros is just not an attractive name. They need to use good names to attract new audiences. Like...
X3NA linux
PL@YB0Y linux
ToughA$$ linux

RIAA boardroom transcript
Exec 1: Oh my god we are toast!
Exec 2: Why?
Exec 1: The grammy awarded a non-CD winner last night!
Exec 2: No problem. We'll just hire more lawyers and sue the grammys.
Exec 1: Brilliant!
Exec 2: We just need a lawyer with morals, only buy CDs and doesn't do P2P.
Exec 1: Ok, we are toast.

Does your company require the need to play games in the office? If not, go to linux.
