It's not a matter of belief, it's a matter of science and reasoning.

None of our observations lead us to think that superfast space travel is feasible, and after applying Occam's razor, especially after understanding the creativity of the human mind and how it will believe anything it wants to, any rational thinker must deduce that the UFO conspiracies are false and simply fantasies.

The Gnostics are a good example. They were slaughtered by the Emperors after Constantine, and they had their own Gospels.

Though there are many documents that could be included among the gnostic gospels, the term most commonly refers to the following:

            * Gospel of Mary (recovered in 1896)
            * Gospel of Thomas (versions found in Oxyrhynchus, Egypt in 1898, and again in the Nag Hammadi Library)
            * Gospel of Truth (Nag Hammadi Library)
            * Gospel of Philip (Nag Hammadi Library)
            * Gospel of Judas (recovered via the antiquities black market in 1983, and then reconstructed in 2006)

The seed of my love of programming was implanted by a BASIC programming course in 7th grade. I never coded BASIC again, but the thrill of it stayed with me and in High School I took a C++ course, received top honors, and declared CS early decision that year.

I wasn't even very good with computers...didn't know DOS or UNIX before college... but the logic of the programming was seducing.

I agree, parents needs to develop adult relationships with their children, especially once the kids hit puberty and start to develop good reasoning skills.

Freshman year of college my parents called so much (to harass about grades) I pulled the phone cord. After a few weeks they learned they would only get to know what I was up too if they gave me space to live my life.

Yes, they paid for college, but they chose to give a gift, and I refused to accept any strings with it (like reporting my grades to them). Adults who trust each other do not spy on each other.
