  8. oh, the crazy Swedes on Opera Releases "Bork" Edition · · Score: 0, Funny

What a silly language they have!

  9. Re:Of course! on Microsoft Switcher Ads: Part 2 · · Score: 1

I'll never forgive Apple for the years I suffered before the powerMac came out. My Mac Quadra crashed every day, and win95 was a blessing despite it's flaws.

Apple is just as evil, if not more so, than Microsoft, because they lost and continued to allow the schism to grow instead of negotiating a new era of compatability.

  10. Re:squarenix!? on Sega Merges With Pachinko Company Sammy · · Score: 1

the windows/apple war is much more heated then any windows/linux war, as most windows users have likely never heard of linux. (Probably due to lack of advertising, and much to the disdain of the good, hardworking linux users.)

  11. won't change my life. on U.S. National Do-Not-Call Registry On the Way? · · Score: 4, Funny

"Now I won't have to ignore my telephone when it rings since more than 50 percent of my calls are from telemarketers."

I've been in the practice of avoiding my telephone regardless of the caller.

  18. Re:Parent has a point. on Gamers, Upgrade your Systems · · Score: 1

I haven't upgraded my computer in almost 3 years, and I've yet to see a game that hasn't worked on it.

The only game I miss that I can't play now is the orignal TIE fighter. I have a game from '94 that still works fine though.

  19. Re:Blah on Gamers, Upgrade your Systems · · Score: 1

I still play UT 1, which as I hear, and you agree with, was much cooler than Unreal 2.

    Interactive gameplay > flashy graphics.

  20. psychology on Why Does Manga Succeed Where American Comics Fail? · · Score: 1

Japan is known as a more repressed society, so one can expect more to turn quicker to a comic reading fantasy world. I expect that most manga, however, is just as cheap and shallow as American comics when it comes to analyzing it for actual 'value'.

Also, it is more dense population wise, so their hobbies certainly are not as as likely to be horseback riding, or cross country skiing.

  23. oh , come on guys! on Rick Berman Doesn't Know Why Nemesis Tanked · · Score: 4, Funny

Nemisis was the greatest movie of the year! What better plot than to have evil mirror images of the Star Trek Crew. This idea is so deep and spiritual, that surely they deserve more credit. And what's more, the survival of Earth was at stake! It sure doesn't get more exciting or original than that I can tell you.

It's good to see Star Trek follow the quality ideas of such exciting shows as Andromeda, and StarHunters.

  24. Report from the general on More Ways to Blow Things Up · · Score: 2, Funny

'The Rail Gun upgrade should be completed soon. I than plan on firing it with a plasma armature, incorporate an inductor into the circuit, and research the effect on efficiency of different pulse lengths and armature compositions.'

Excellent. With these new weapons our plans to invade earth will soon be complete. Glory to the planet Zorba!
