    Good. Let Intel build copy protection into their devices. I've been a happy AMD customer for over a year now(and no, it hasn't caught fire yet ;p). And what better way to keep my business than to tell Hollywood to fuck itself.
    Of course, if AMD bow to pressure and follow suit, we're likely screwed unless we decide to go with some obscure 64 bit alternative. Or a mac. But we all know Apple will probably be the first people to cave.

    Couldn't help but notice, my ass. My long distance provider was a rival, and the phone company was trying to get the jump on them. I guess it pays to own the pipes, right?

    If you think being a C++ dev puts you in the same category as genetic engineer, you place far too much importance on your role in society.
    I've been a C++ hobbyist (I don't do it for a living, but I like to tinker a lot. =)of sorts for a few years, and I can attest to the fact that it isn't exactly rocket science.
