  1. And nevermind the fact that both Clinton and Trump knew and understood how the system worked and campaigned accordingly. Otherwise, they would have never set foot in places like Iowa and focused all their activities around large population centers.

    Agreed, the more the keyboard warriors keep insulting conservatives, the more they'll dig in their heels. I think that has a lot to do with the climate change issue - keep telling people they're stupid, they'll keep giving you the finger.

    My 9-yr old did the Hour of Code series. Good stuff and he got the concepts. It's drag and drop, so he never was at the keyboard doing it "by hand", but it's a great introduction.

    MyFitnessPal - if you're really cooking big portions, you just enter the recipe as you made it, then figure out how many servings it will make for you. You only have to figure it out once per batch. You should be able to knock it out in 5 minutes. Works for me. Next time I make that batch of chili, I just enter the ingredients again since mine are never the same each time either.

    Huh? That makes it sound like even if accident rates and fatalities are reduced by a factor of 10, it's not worth it since they're not completely gone. You guys need to not even talk about a magic fix - no one is suggesting that.

    Body Substance Isolation. Seriously man, it's the first thing you learn. I'm only an EMT, but in any of our skills we were tested on, not calling out BSI was an automatic fail. I get that you're sympathetic to what they're trying to do, and they should be commended for it. But at what point are they negligent?

    You fail statistics and understanding. First of all, the ratio of patients to health care workers is very different (read: Texas has a higher ratio). Second, you need to understand sample size before you start drawing conclusions.

    Going away from the space shuttles had just as much to do with budget cuts - Congress simply isn't as interested in space exploration. Private companies will do it cheaper and we will eventually get back to something like a space shuttle.
