This is true enough - it can be difficult to get a path string from the finder into the clipboard, but if you need a path from the finder in the terminal, you can just drag and drop the file/folder in question into the terminal.
Sure is. I have it on my iphone and have identified a couple of new (to me) bands that I'm very fond of that would have taken me forever to identify any other way. It's definitely one of the apps I don't want to be without, ever again.
Read the surrounding context. He means that VOIP "landlines" are less reliable than their POTS counterparts, yet are sold to replace POTS installations. Thus, VOIP has downgraded the average reliability of landlines installed across the world, as it has replaced some percentage of POTS landlines.
Hate to be a language usage/spelling nazi, but fuchsia is spelled that way, and the phrase you're looking for in your sig is "For all intents and purposes" - whether or not the purposes are intensive is irrelevant.
Can someone explain the logic in taking a fast speed, slowing it down to just a slightly slower but still fast speed, and making people slow down when the construction itself is over a 100 feet from the interstate, with concrete barriers blocking the interstate from the construction?
Sure. A union. That's half a dozen *more* jobs at that particular construction site (unnecessary people directing traffic).
Really - the problem is that Adobe/Macromedia created a piece of crap in the flash client. The fact that my 2GHz C2D can have 60-70% (of one core) in use by a site with 3 or 4 flash ads on it is a testament to how grossly inefficient the software is. Putting flash (in it's desktop incarnation) on the iphone would peg it's little ARM proc and drain the battery in no time flat.
Frankly - i like the lack of flash on my iphone - it, in fact, acts as an ad-blocker of sorts.
I can't say for sure - but I think the switching is actually in the hardware - some MacBooks had a problem whereby they got stuck in the optical mode, necessitating the jack being replaced (there's actually a little switch in there that controls the optical). What probably is in the driver though is another nifty audio feature, which is that the machine remembers the level setting based on whether or not headphones are plugged in (the iPhone does the same thing). Very handy.
Personally I've always thought people stupid enough to call weed "schwag" would be stupid enough to pay 50 grand for a quarter of it.
"Schwag" refers to the quality of the weed, like "middies", "kind" and "dank". "Schwag" refers to brownish, dry, shakey crap with seeds and stems (usually outdoor bud grown in Mexico). A quarter of schwag isn't worth much more than $20-$30 (at least on the east coast).
Comparing a $20 candy bar Nokia with an iPhone is much like comparing a sundial with an atomic clock. With added complexity comes added problems. Now, if you were to compare a similarly priced Nokia smartphone with the iPhone - you might have a point. But not surprisingly Nokia has had their fair share of issues with their higher-end smartphone line as well.
there are no keyboard shortcuts for the little red / yellow / green window buttons
Red (close) - Cmd + W
Yellow (minimize) - Cmd + M
Green - yeah, no kb shortcut, but I personally never use the zoom button anyway.
- Finder can't give you path

- Finder doesn't support SVN like tortoiseSVN
Try this
- Intenet Explorer (yes, customers :( test needs windows in Parallels)
No argument there - I'm a web developer, and unfortunately have to run Explorer in vmware for testing purposes.
Must be the one everyone is familiar with. You know, Phone Booth...:P

The rfc [php.net] claims that typing "**" is easier than typing "%%" or "^^".
But it is! ... if your right shift key is broken...
I don't think that unlocking the phone is a DMCA violation though.
Indeed, unlocking is explicitly *protected* by the DMCA.
Atheist is spelled like that. The GP's point is that the troll has spelled it "athiest," which is just incorrect.

They certainly did. In fact, they noted Woz's notable appreciation for latin - the first words of every quote were "Lorem ipsum."
But as always this is my 02c,YMMV
You say that so frequently that you may want to consider putting it into your signature.
Quite right - but jailbroken != unlocked.
By your definition, every time I leave a room I enter a new dimension.
Depending upon who built your house, that could be true...
a BFG, and a flask of whiskey
You must be from the south.
So if you call eight PCs connected to a network a "supper computer" then this is it.
I'd prefer to call it a "dinner computer".

I believe that BootCamp installs a BIOS emulator/compatibility layer to allow windows to run.

He wasn't making the claim that adapt or perish was new - his last sentence was just missing a couple of commas.
"Sorry, the world follows different dynamics now, adapt or perish"
DHS is a superset of FEMA, now, so you're not wrong.
