With you i agree, Sometimes i feel that cooper's policy's are alittle too draconain, but i cant complain since i getting away scott free.(as in tution)
Being such a small school with such limited funds, Blocking all p2p only makes sense, espically with limited bandwitdh. If kids started sharing movies and music, traffic at cooper would come to a dead standstill and then everyone would be mad. So i cant complain, im just happy i have broadband at home. though i am jeaslous of my friend in SUNY albany and his schools OC-3 grrrr.
are you sure its a 3xT1? sometimes it dosnt even feel like a T1.
no... precision rock throwing would be to thorw multiple rocks and have them all hit the same target, this case would be accurate rock throwing, if the foot is indeed the intended target of the rock
Not true, It may depend on the skin, but i use winamp ver 3 final and with the main window and playlist open it took 16mb, when i played a song it went down to 12, when i closed the playlist window it went down to 5, when i minized it it went down to 3 (system tray only)
maybe if you have everything, thinger, eq, playlist, broswer it would be that much, but if you are just playing songs and thats it it dosnt actually take that much resources

no, Tom found out about the murder when the pre-cog (agatha) suddenly gabbed him and had the flashback of that murder, thats when he went snooping, and thats when he was setup,and thats why the pre cogs were able to see Tom commit murder. becuase that evil guy (Max) found out about what happened in the "temple" the pre cogs didnt see the suicude becuase it wasnt premeditated, it was a last second decision and we didnt see agatha's preminitions for that whole scene. the precogs have trouble spotting non premeditated murders, thats why when the get a red ball, they only have like 10 or 15 min (watch the beginning of the movie)
I have one (baought my from dynamism and i can get up to 4 hours of battery life. This little machine has actually proven to be quite useful. the battery being the black thing under it, is, i admit, a bit small, but its a compormise between size and sexiness. and it is definitly sexy.
The built in network card has support for PXE booting so you could probably get your own linux distro on it.
Its small size makes is optimal for war driving;-)

by th4e second law of thermodynamics, trying to use this type of heat to produce work is not very useful at all. By Carnot Cycle, Effiency = 1 - (temp of cold sink (ambient temp))/Temp of Hot source (laptop)) say the chip got hot enough to boil water on, 100 degrees C which is 373 degrees K, ambient temp is about 25 degrees C which is 298 degrees K so the effiencey of this would be about 20 percent effient. no chip gets that hot, so realisitly its more like 50-60 degrees C while drastically lowers the effiency, and still thats only on waste heat. you would still have to gather all of that enegrry somewhere and create a large temperature graident to make use of that eneggy, no trying to recycle the waste heat is not cost effective it would be more effiecnt to make more enegery effiecnt chips. the energy recovered from the heat might be enough to maybe power an led:)

the MTA(NY,NY) runs win NT on their metrocard vending machines.. so far they've had no problems, except when people "vandelize" the machines and make it so that the machine eats your money, then tells you that it dosnt accept cash at that time.

hmm i run win2k pro with all the updates and none of the exploits worked, i use IE 6, a window came up for minesweeper but minesweeper never came up, and google cookies directed me right to google.com is that supposed to happen?
THeres a huge culture gap between Japan and America. People here (America) just seem to think that Anime is just a cartoon.. for kids. What i like about Anime is that the author/director person can do whatever they want and achieve impossbile camera angels if they wanted. I guess people here prefer seeing live action, I think Akira is a great anime. Anime is a great medium for storytelling, and cheaper too? ( i dont know how much it costs to produce an anime, but you dont have to pay for location permits and the such, and travel expenses)
So really, is it necessary to have to 'adapt' Akira to the western screen? If you want bring the ture akia experience to western audiences, then you shouldnt have to 'adapt' it. WHen i watched dubbed movies, and then the undubbed version i find that alot is lost in just the way the character says a line, infliction is just as important as the actual dialoge. and alot of times,the dub speech and the expression on the characters face just dont match.

(espcially in the end of evangelion movie) But, as much as we would like to see happy endings, this is not always the case, and the fact that you got such a strong reaction from him was probably the creators original intet, and probably more to real life. (like that reporter in saving private ryan, he could have saved his buddies, but stood frozen outside the room, i wanted to go in there and kill him myself!) Thats what i like so much about this series. the strong feelings you get from it
See the great thing about it is, It produced a real strong feeling in you, what other anime have you watched that produced a feeling as strong as your hatred towards Shinji? (okay you could probably name a few, but my point is, this isn't just your everyday toonami anime) this is something that you'll remember, and love in the long run
If you read the article, its a Japanese Anime that about giant robots that defend earth... Its much much deeper then that with many allusions to the Bible. The character development is supurb, in fact it seems as if the whole series is about these 'tragic' heros, who no matter what, can never seem to win. I dont want to spoil it for you, for it is an excellent series, well worth the time and money.
also the end of evangelion movie can get pretty confusing and has elements of frued and odepius.. absolutly amazing it is
you can make a very accurate 3 shot rubber band gun out of an engineering ruler (you know the one with 3 edges) i've used this quite effectivly, and its cheap! im sure everyone here must have at least one engineering ruler:)
also try loading steel ball bearings onto the grooves and fire those with rubber bands

The sites that have the most annoying popups and annoy ads are the warez and p0rn sites. They even hide the title bars, so unless you know how to alt+f4, you have this huge ad in your face trying to get you to increase the size of your 'member' and no way of getting it off.
Now slashdot is going to be posting these types of ads?
WHat kind of ad are we talking about? Ad's trying to get you to buy a descrambler, look at 'hot teens' or ads that promise mircle cures or how to lose weight in 15 mintues.
I absolultly hat pop-ups. if slashdot becomes as annoying as warez and p0rn (no i do not go to these sites,) i will have to stop visitng slashdot.....

If you do evetually get people to near the speed of light, wouldnt there time slow to a crawl? relativity man, while to us on earth it would take them hundreds of years, to them it would not be nearly as long. alot of weird things happen as you approach the speed of light.

How are you lifting it? shuttle? I thought they were just going to shoot it up there with some rockets. Its not that expensive
