When they allowed the gays to marry the govt forced us all to wear dresses to school. And if a tranny came into your bathroom and requested a blowjob you had to give them one. And you weren't allowed to spit it out either. Don't let this happen to you folks....

If you want to reduce CO2 emissions, buying an EV presently doesn't help. When you replace an ICE vehicleswith an EV without changing the makeup of your electricity sources, all you've done is shift your CO2 emissions from the car's tailpipe to a fossil fuel power plant's smokestack. That's why the claim that EVs are "zero emissions" is BS at present. You need to replace fossil fuel power plants with nuclear and renewable plants to cause a reduction in CO2 emissions.

Good post, but something that's worth clarifying that electricity sources are also changing over time. For example my provider offers a surcharge if you want fully renewable sourced electricity. So for a premium you can have a zero emission vehicle right now today, and it's only going to become more common.

  8. Here's the problem. The regulations Obama put into place, hurt wages a lot. It discentivized employers to hire new people

Yet employment increased the most under Obama than either Bush or Trump. I'm not making a political statement, merely pointing out that the observations don't match your claim.

Remember Obama's words that low GDP growth was the new normal? Why did it spike just after Trump was elected. Why have we seen a double GDP...

Removing regulations improves GDP because it usually means someone is being shit on for profit, and the cost of the shitting-on is being deferred to the future where it will ultimately cost more to fix. It happened under Reagan in 1987 and Bush jnr in 2007, and if Trump gets 8 years it will happen again.
This is why we have regulations, not because we love red tape, but because appropriate regulations applied appropriately actually improve the quality of life for everyone, not just rich people.

I was on a plane with a fuel leak from a fuel pump cover on the wing. Pointed it out to the flight attendant, one of the pilots walked back and looked out the window. He determined that it wasn't severe enough to be a concern, and we made a normal landing at our destination (we were only about 40 min away when this happened).

I just watched show on TV last night that had a story of a mid-flight engine failure. A passenger was recording it when over the loud speaker the pilot asked over the PA that if anyone notices any changes with that engine the they should let the flight crew know. So yeah, windows for passengers do come in handy...

  12. Trump cure cancer, contact friendly alien life, and solve all the worlds problems, and you would still find something to bitch about him. Why can't you people just accept, despite his personal faults, he is actually doing a pretty decent job?

I will when you tell me what he's done? (seriously, I'm not anti-Trump, I'll give credit where it's due)
    I'll start you off:
Tax cuts. This is what I consider his biggest achievement. Unfortunately it's only good if you are rich, for everyone else it's a shocker.
Employment. I give him credit for maintaining Obama's hard work to turn around the sinking ship, however there are two caveats. Job growth is slightly less than it was under Obama, so even though it's good it's not as good, and it's a lot easier to maintain short term momentum when you're already headed in that direction. The second caveat is that a lot of pro-business policy will only be good short term. These types of moves come with a risk of long term damage (see GWB and the GFC).
North Korea. This is a wait and see as nothing has actually happened yet. And the stuff that has happened seem to have nothing to do with Trump even though he makes claim for them (eg the united Korea Winter Olympic team)
That's all I got. To balance, here's the list of bad things...Oh wait... I don't have a hundred years to list them all in detail....

I was with you to this point, but TFA was utter shit. Simply stitching together parts of Ep4 & 5 was a complete let down, I would've walked out of it if I wasn't with other people. R1 was less bad but also not great, and TLJ was also trash.
So for me it's 2 out of 9, which means I won't watch Solo or any other Star Wars film again. It's quite clear that the formula that made the first two films great will never be repeated so it's time to move on.

  16. Star Wars and Star Trek need to stop. It isn't that these new movies are bad or worse then before. But Star Wars and Star Trek were stories, characters and a fictional universe of a different era.

I think the problem is that all the good stuff in Star Wars was the original content of the first two films. Ever since then it's been 8 films of rehashing the same story or simply explaining the characters of the first two films over and over and over again. It's just tedious.
Disney needs to let go completely and start creating completely new stories and characters in the Star Wars Universe. I thought they might do it in TLJ when Kylo kills Snoke and asks Rey to join forces to burn this shit and start again fresh. That right there was the path to success for Disney had they pursued that story line, but they chose to revert back to cliche good vs evil crap we've been hearing for 40 years.
I'm not paying money for that.

  17. I think the problem is that The Last Jedi was the worst Star Wars movie ever and that pissed people off. They will watch Episode IX since they wan't to know how the story will end.

That's not how it works. I thought The Last Jedi was so shit that I'm never going to see another Star Wars film again. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
