i know this is old discussion but ill tell u all why nintendo is going to die
the only important thing sony did, the ONLY, was taking videogames out of our kids bedroom and making them stilish enough to make them a home entertainment device... thats it... its not the extremely powerfull device they dide, its not that their games have mature looks while nintendo looks childish, nothing of that... the big issue is that u look to a playstation u see a home entertainment device that you, a full grown man, will show to ur friends to make them envy... a nintendo, well... that u better keep on ur kids bedroom...
i dont own any of those system, i rather play games on my computer...
Theres a serious problem, imho, regarding that solution. VMWare requires LOTS of hardware to run, not leaving many resources to the games themselves (which requires good hardware), games would not run smoothly on such configuration...
The stealth bomber is not invisible, its radar cross section is much smaller than conventional airplanes, many newer radars are able to track it. Its smaller radar signature only makes enemy radars not so efective in terms of range...
Ok, i know were discussing about Linux advocacy here, but what about windows advocates? Do you people have ever had the chance to read some stupid comments about some stupid windows advocates? Once I read that linux isnt a good OS because it wont work with onboard hardwares, like winmodens. This is so obvious, it wont work because MS dont let the manufacturers release specifications.
Ok people, its not my intention to start a war here, my point is that advocates existing everywhere, for everything, what makes then diferent is their arguments. Sometimes windows users anoys us with their "linux sux" way of seeing things, sometimes linux users anoys us with their "linux rox" way... i mean, let us all stop fighting and live in peace!:))
i believe they are the best search engine out there... as I said to the other guy sometimes alltheweb returns me better results but I much more used to googles clean/easy layout, there is thousands of information on alltheweb pages and they are not always clear to understand...
well, i must agree with you, sometimes those selling spots are kinda usefull, much diferent from those on geocities websites that I rarely look at!:))
altough I believe many searches I did on it returned better results than google, I cant get used to its "heavier" look... i mean, google has a much cleaner layout that pleases me much more!:))
dude, i see two major problems with your solution:
1 - would the rare event of a blue screen occur, you wouldnt be able to see a feet in front of you because your windshield would be totally blue.
2 - would the rare event of a windows crash occur while the computer was steering your car, you might end up visiting god sooner than you expected!:)))
Come on, reading the article I saw the guy said a Snort disadvantage is not having a GUI. What kind of technical user this guy is?:/ Point and click is not always the best solution...
Ok... i can accept banners on Slashdot, banners on some softwares, etc, etc, etc... but if someone even dare to put a banner on the top of my Linux desktop ill change my OS the next day!
A bit of off-topic: I dont know why people still thinks banners on sites are profitable. Stanford University ran a study and found that less than 1% of visitors actually click on banners, less than 50% take it serious (some scroll the page down in order to hide the banner).
We are not the best doing that!:)) China is much better on copying other people stuff. I still remember the day a MiG-23 crashed there (it was a top secret airplane). All of a sudden they made 28 identical copies!:)))
As i said in my last post, brazil really tariffs products a lot. I read in a magazine once that apple products COULD (and in my opinion: SHOULD) be cheaper, however apple made the decision to ask a bit more for their products because their were getting money to build a factory and then build Macs here in Brazil. Sorry, but I dont agree with such decision!:)))
Here in Brazil all Apple machines are import from the US. Ok, no problem with that, the problem is that a iMac, while costing $1,400 in the US, costs almost $3,000 here!:((( Sure we have taxes, but 3,000? Come on Apple, I would buy one for 2,000!!!!:))
It was a long time ago, in my childhood, our history professor told us to build a catapult, a small one (so small we could carry in one hand)... my group (consisting of me and my friends) did a almost full size one, we needed to ask someone father to bring it to school in a truck, it was awesome, all our little friends hanging around with 20cm catapults when we were getting all the attention from the 9 year old girls with our 4 meter trebuchet... good ol times when my weekends used to last 7 days!:))
the sad part is that we never had the chance to test it...:((

well, i just found it last week... :)))

Well, the story link is taking forever to load, so while I wait to read it I tell you people bout the new search engine I found:
http://www.alltheweb.com
Not as fast as google here, but returned me some good links. It makes paid links go on a "sponsored links" session just like google.
Good point! :)) I checked and it doesnt seen like jpeg compression "failures" :))
- The name (Oslo) is "photoshop edited", there is a strange area in front of the name, looks like they wanted to hide something.
- There is a mic on the top/right side
- The craddle is the same one used on the M505 model, isnt it?

Thats what i meant... you CAN in fact have a GUI. That should be a advantage, I mean, no other IDS can have a GUI and a non-GUI interface.
:))
I prefer the non-GUI option!
Well, you have plenty of GUIs that work with Snort. The problem is that i dont agree thats a disadvantage... :/
thats what i tried to meant... the guy who wrote the damn thing dont know what hes talking about! :))
whats up with that fscking site?
I had a nice experience using snort.
:/ Point and click is not always the best solution...

Sure we have huge tariffs... but apple still thinks its better to sell two products at the cost of 10,000 than 10,000 at the cost of 1,000... :)))

The game is great but there arent Sea Units... no transports... no battleships... :((( it would be 10/10 if it had it...
i dont think its gonna stand for more than 10 minutes, but lets give it a try:
