Slashdot doesn't have enough readers to cause a website to get slashdotted. I'm curious as to how Slashdot coverage could influence Microsoft to change anything.
Who makes that determination? The Atari IP porfolio has floated around the industry for years as it was bought and sold by different video game companies. The current version of Atari has nothing to do with the origianl Atari of the late 1970's and early 1980's.
Funny how it took AMD to produce a line of processor to goose Intel into updating their line of processors. The 5GHz processors should have come out years ago.
I would think as a creator that if viewership was that bad it might be worth trying to figure out why 98% of your subs aren't watching something.
Being a cable subscriber doesn't obligate you to watching 500+ channels. Most cable subscribers only watch a handful of channels, and not every channel is watched 100% of the time. YouTube has become today's TV.
I was into my 5.1 speaker system for my PC back in the day. When it came time to replace it, I ditched the extra speakers for a 2.1 speaker system. It got silly that you could get a 7.1 or 8.1 speaker system. These days I wear headphones while playing FortNite and Overwatch.
Your comment was interesting, but I think the most interesting aspect is that you're still scrabbling around looking for work. Not fully clear from your comment, but that's how it comes across. I hope it's because you like variety, but I think most businesses these days want the smallest number of long-term employees possible.
Why settle for a 2% annual raise when you can get a 40% raise by changing jobs?
If you get to 200K subscribers you are making an INCREDIBLE amount of money. A million is so far out there to make the 1% seem like the minimum wage. If you are burning out, you are just getting greedy. YouTube does not owe you anything.
Dream on! With 200K subscribers, you would be lucky to get 4K views (2% of subscriber base) per video. Pewdiepie has 60M subscribers but gets 1M to 3M views per video. You need 50K to 200K views per month to make $100 from advertising revenues. The most successful YouTubers make more money in merchandise and brand deals than they earn from advertising revenues. You don't need a big subscriber base to make more money for less work.
I'm not sure. The economics work better when you buy more. The shipping charge is $5.99 for a five-hour delivery window (most of my deliveries are within two to three hours) to $9.99 for one hour delivery. If you use the service more than once a month, you can pay $159 per year and get free shipping on $35+ orders. You can also get free shipping by buying $20+ from a promoted brand.
Also note: Safeway pricing, aka obfuscated delivery charge.
You don't get the in-store promotions. Some items do have special pricing that you can't get in-store. While I'm paying more for some stuff and paying less for other stuff, I'm breaking even overall. I just place one big order at the beginning of the month and 90% of my shopping is done.
The delivery charge (possibly obfuscated) will exceed the price of the dog food, if they will even deliver that low a price order, at all.
The delivery charge (service fee and driver's tip) by Safeway via InstaCart is 10% of the bill. If I order $100 in groceries, the delivery charge is $10. The "heaviest" delivery I had was three cases of bottled water, eight bottles of soda and four bag of groceries. While they don't offer anything in 25-lb bags, they do have plenty of specials on pet food.
Considering how Guy Kawaski made the failed dog food app developer a central theme of his speeches for the last ten years, no surprise that someone finally figured out how to do it right.
The commuter and light rail trains that I've been on had vending machines at the stations.
Pewdiepie will have to get a regular job. No more meme review for you!
So no more cookie cutter homes?
Kate Spade and Anthoney Bourdain committed suicide this week. Who is the next celebrity suicide?
Drop in a couple of Voodoo 2 cards and run them on your electrical grid in SLI mode to get clean power!
Netflix's DVD business is alive and well with 100,000 titles. As for Netflix's streaming service, it offers only 5,600 titles.
Before someone think they're flying a toy drone to accidentally fly a real airplane.
Speciality domains allow vendors to sell "Protect Your Brand Name with 25+ Domains!" packages (i.e., .com, .net, .biz, .info, ..., and .whatever).
I'm sure Bill Gates regrets not calling the original MS-DOS file system, FAT Bastard!
Thank you, thank you. I'll be here all week. :P

Otherwise, why is Musk/Trump/Hillary not getting every anti-Tesla/pro-Muller/anti-PrivateEmailServer story taken down from /.?
Public figures have a reduced right to privacy than priviate citizens.

Several years ago you could 16GB DDR3 memory for $75. Today you pay $150+ for 16GB DDR4 memory.
What did you expect to happen after coming down from the High Sierra? Munchies?
