    the human body is just a machine. we only make the distinction between it and a computer because of the components. i dont see why there wont be computer super intelligences that have evolving forms. unfortunately we wont be able to understand them because they will become as complex as we are. i doubt they will take on humanoid form. so will we still treat them different?

    the problem with the chicken and egg problem isnt whether the chicken or the egg came first, its the question. there wasnt suddenly a chicken or egg in existence, but a slow evolution of the organism and of course its reproduction cycle. that said i hate wine it tastes like crap.

    image is everthing. if the fbi didnt 'crack' down on these 'hackers' then the army would seem to be weak in some respect and it cant look weak can it? what would russia think? :) instead of raiding and probably taking legal action they should have cash prizes for who finds security flaws and reports them to the army and if person doesnt and using flaw for evil means then you can take legal action.

    i dont dont use wifi so bear with me. when you connect to the internet with a wifi card dont you have to choose which connection to use? if so then both can wifize the area and people can choose to not pay or be ripped off for their net connection?

    so the encryption isnt part of the harddrive right? the encryption can only start when the power is on? (or some battery on the encrypting hardware?) so just remove it (the harddriver or the power source for the encrytor?)...

    microshaft knew it would be finally beaten by opensource, thats why they created .NET. by doing so they become the middleman that everyone (?) has to go through to use computer services. they no longer have to worry about opensource because they will no longer be in competition with it.
