If a story were to come out that Amit say wanted to implement more DMCA-like restrictions on the Internet and was frustrated because the administration wouldn't let him we'd all have a different attitude. But since this guy quit the BUSH administration, he obviously was suffering in his job trying to do right by all Americans and was being squashed by the man. The fact that he gave effectively 1 day's notice points to a character problem. What's the over and under he starts popping up on talk shows and campaign stops with "a revealing look into the Bush administration" soon?
Instead of everyone jumping on the bandwagon, why not ask where her proof is? I realize it's only the intentions that matter with liberals, but you'd think after CBS/Rather-gate truth would at least be in the ingredients.
Gartner continues to float out these reports that seem to be more and more biased. At some point, people have to start wondering. Hey, it worked for CBS until the forgeries were too blatent.
I always felt like this is the one area the courts could have hit M$ and done the market a world of good. Kill those OEM agreements. Make it voluntary bu nullifying these. I also felt like this is where M$ is vulnerable to a law suit or more anti-trust litigation.
People give Clear Channel far too much credit. They don't own a monopoly or even the majority of radio stations in the U.S. I think the numbers come to about 1400+ out of a 17K total. People started screaming about how they were dominating and pushing conservatives etc. Here in Atlanta, arguably the most conservative station is on AM. CC did have them simulcasted on FM but pulled it. Believe me, many would love for them to go back to FM. CC owns I think at least 2 of the FM stations but both play music. They piloted one of them for talk and I think it still has some talk programming, but not what you would call typical conservative talk. Largely sports and more tame stuff.
I think judicial review is a good thing for U.S. companies. However, for foreign-owned businesses and entities doing business here this part of the Patriot Act is fine with me. Perhaps a distinction could be made.
Um, yes. You totally misunderstand the definition. Faith based on nothing is idiocy. "Faith" is simply "belief." In fact, the ancient Greek translates the same word for both.
I hate to burst your superior intellectual bubble but it is largely "guess." Educated guess, true. Based upon evidence, research, etc. yes. If it makes you feel better, I'll pretend you're smarter than me. What do I win?
" You fail to distinguish between scientific theories and laymen theories."
And we're supposed to take that seriously? Okay, I'm forgetting who the intellectual dwarf is here...
Are you suggesting that the Theory of Evolution is more solid than electronics? Look, Evolution is a system of faith as most anything we do is. Equating "religion" and "faith" doesn't take away from what faith is. It's the conviction of the preponderance of evidence. People view evidence differently. Evolution is theory, plain and simple. That there is evidence to support it doesn't prove it. What the evidence does do for some is provide them with the faith (conviction) that it is probably what happened and that it best explains what happened.
"They left out recombinatorial DNA (sex)."
Uh..it also happens to be theory (conjecture, a possibility but not a certainty, a guess). But you are right, they left it out. hehe
Most of what has been posted is directed at Bush (overwhelmingly negative, but...). I guess it goes to show that very few are pro-Kerry and rather (Rather? heh heh) are anti-Bush. So much for staying OT. Uh...ahemmm...
"Frustrated by the recent bursting of the Mhz bubble by AMD and Intel's apparent disconcern, PC makers are contemplating a level system. No word on the specifics, but one spokesman said he has it on good authority that the levels will range from 1 to 11. That's ELEVEN! ELEVEN! Because it's higher than TEN, of course!"
So...those of us who have been in IT for years can look forward to higher paid college grads as co-workers? hehe Remember when the old guys despised us for this? Guess what! We're the old guys! DOH!
With a name like Neso, it's got to be good!
Let me just say that no-name LCD's don't count. Included in that $389 price should be SOME longevity.
Of course now is where I get the reply that NESO is the world leader who sells most of their stuff to "all the big names" but only now have decided to come out of obscurity to sell to the public.

What's a bruthuh gonna do? There is a tremendous amount of liberals within this group. But there are some bright spots. :)

It's always tough to lose someone so young. May you find some peace in this time of sorrow.

Troll? So much for open debate.

Yeah, Miguel kissed up to M$ and caught .MONO!
Exactly, there's the true test. Put a webpage on it and link it to a /. article and wait for the TRUE test of speed!

Easy! I didn't mod myself! ;)
This is more evidence of why we should be able to smack a Marketing Rep a day.

I still say until Wal-Mart can sell a digital TV for what Earl can buy a few cases of beer for, digital TV will be sharing the market with analog.

$389 for a 15" LCD screen can hardly be justified when 19" CRT's are half that price. Glad to see this coming.
