Google feels that its being "not magic" interferes with its ability to please everyone all of the time, and that includes country. France is expected to surrender to Googles arguments later today, and ask if they could pay them money to set up a similar solution in France. They mean refresh rate ghosting. If you play Medal Of Honor for example on a CRT monitor, it will be crisper and sharper while moving than an LCD monitor.
Ghosting is a big deal in that arena, I do not watch television mmuch, and certainly not on an LCD screen, so I am not sure how it affects television.

I havent worked full time in a while, and since I work technically on contingency (not a full or part time) I work basically whenever she needs someone to sub for vacations and on holidays. Whenever employee day comes around I am sure to work a week or two in advance for a few consecutive weeks to ensure I get the perks. though I am not necessarily sure how long is required.
Waldens is a great place to work in that case. dont get paid much though, but I read a lot so it balances out.
I work for a bookstore in my area on Sundays as a side job. Thats about as close as I can come to claiming a side job. I work too many hours during the week to hold 2 jobs during the week. Working for 8 hours on Sundays allows me to get books at 30% off, borrow 2 books every 2 weeks, and gives me 50 or so dollars to play with for buying said books.
Basically I am getting paid to browse books, get access to new releases before they are out, and I work from 10 am to 6. Not too shabby.
If they insist on moving to RFID etc... Would it not be a nice solution to give people some kind of protective covering of this sort.

I think we here at slashdot are going to have to realize that these things are coming, no matter how badly we want to fight them and make them go away. We understand the risks involved, but perhaps instead of fighting the problem we should be looking at ways to make it less evil.
