Tangentially related, but I believe you can tap the power button 5 times to bring up the emergency prompt. Doing that will lock the phone out of biometric logins adding another layer of security.
I'm right there with you. Ever since the sales tax has gone above 9%(for us) in this idiotic state, I've switched over to making as many purchases as I can online. That amazon prime fee, has more than paid for itself in the amount I've saved in not having to pay the state tax man.
Not sure why this is big news. Costco has been doing this for some time already. Guess it's funny now that WalMart is doing it?

Invalid. A great deal of the problems in the rest of the world are due to them being systematically held back by the first world to achieve a political and economic goal. Using this as evidence of our superiority is not just incorrect, it's deplorable.
Please provide proof. How are we holding them back? Who is we? Why have India and China succeeded the more they embrace evil capitalist ideals?
It was last Friday. I had just gotten up from a SWEET game of Warcraft on my PC.
Anyway, I realized I was dangerously low on Mountain Dew, so I threw on my lucky green sweat pants and my trenchcoat to walk 3 blocks to the convenience store. I figured if I had enough change, I might even pick up some Slim Jims, but I digress...
On my way back to my apartment, Dew and Slim Jims in hand, I saw you and your friends walking into the Jazz club across the street. You seemed so comfortable and cool dressed to the nines for an evening of drinks and dancing with those closest to you.
It was then that I knew I had to meet you. Although I had never been in that particular establishment, I followed you in. You probably would have seen me, but I was slowed by an argument with the doorman over my attire. After a few minutes, I think I had him convinced I looked ok, but then he proceeded to ask me for $10 just to walk into the bar. I couldn't believe they wanted to charge me just to get in. I, of course had no money, having spent every spare cent on caffeine and sticks of processed beef. I walked back to the convenience store and failed in my effort to return the goods I had so recently purchased. Luckily, the store had an ATM, so I pleaded with the checker to hold my purchases behind the counter for a short time, and I withdrew $20 from the cash machine. Armed with my fresh $20 bill, I marched to the Jazz Club, paid the $10 cover, and went looking for the woman of my dreams.
I saw you immediately, near the bar with your friends. You were at the end of the group with some space next to you, so I settled in close. You noticed me once or twice as I cleared my throat nervously trying to think of what to say. It sounded like you may have commented on my trenchcoat to one of your friends, but I couldn't be sure.
I finally bumped you to get your attention. I may have bumped to hard as I noticed you spilled some of your drink on your shirt. Sorry about that.
ME: So... Do you come here often?
YOU: No. (you turn back to your friends)
ME: Me neither. I hate bars. I can't come to terms with why anyone would want to pay such high margins on watered down drinks they could make at home for a fraction of the cost... (I trail off noticing you aren't listening)
I regroup and lean in close to your ear...
ME: What are you drinking there?
YOU: (barely looking over your should back to me) A gin and tonic.
ME: Can I buy you one?
YOU: I already have one, see... (you hold up your drink sarcastically)
ME: Well then, can I reimburse you for the one you are drinking?
YOU: What? (looking at me now)
ME: Let me pay you back for that one.
YOU: Whatever. (looking puzzled and annoyed)
ME: How much was it?
YOU: What?
ME: How much is a gin and tonic?
YOU: Five dollars
ME: Jesus Christ! What fool pays $5 for a freakin' drink? That's robbery!!!
YOU: Get away from me.
ME: (embarrassed by my outburst) No, no, no. I said I'd pay you for it, so I will. (reaching in my pocket) Do you have change for a $10?
You: What?
ME: I only have a ten dollar bill? Do you have five dollars change?
YOU: (turning to face me completely and folding your arms as your friends quiet down to watch our interaction) Actually, this drink was $6 with tip.
ME: What?
YOU: My drink. It was $5 plus $1 for tip!
ME: Damn, this is getting expensive. Ok, do you have $4 change for my $10.
YOU: No.
ME: Well, then I'll have to get change from the bartender.
YOU: Don't bother. Leave me alone. (you turn back to your friends as they erupt in laughter)
I spend 10 mintues trying to get the bartender's attention. I can't blame him much because he was very busy serving so many other morons begging to be robbed of their hard earned dollars. When he finally gets to me,
Uhh no, that is definitely not the case that there is any sort of unanimous consensus on Keynesian economics. It didn't work in the 30's, it in fact prolonged the great depression. All that you're doing is spending a bunch of money we don't have that will have to be procured through borrowing/printing more of it(increasing inflation), or by raising taxes. Sucking money out of the economy to be put into the federal govt. to filter it back into the economy just does not work.
My, aren't we the extra sensitive internet tough guy. The point was, that the tools have gotten rid of the barrier to entry, and as such, we're going to be seeing more and more of this. Whether this is considered high art or not is purely subjective. I've seen similar thrown together by teenagers and kids in college that have time and talent on their hands. Growing up, I had a lot of friends who were into drawing and were damn good at it. Yes, what they did was tough, and not everyone can do it, but so what? Anybody could buy some pencils and pull it off if they had the talent. And there's no shortage of talent. Same thing with this. The tools are out there for everyone nowadays. Sorry if I'm not as impressed and appreciate this clip on such a deep level as you do.
Someone else who wasn't dazzled by some kid throwing a bunch of clips together. With modern editing software, this isn't the amazing feat everyone on this board is making it out to be.
But it's ludicrous to assert that Democrats are primarily responsible for the current state of things.
Democrats have been running the show for 2 years now, yet all that this congress and Obama can do is lay blame on Bush and Republicans on this current mess. Democrats and their liberal policies are 100% to blame for this. Notice that when they blame Bush and company they're never specific, just vagaries about deregulation, free-market failing us, etc. Nothing but an assault and lie against capitalism. Look up Community Reinvestment Act when you get a chance if you're interested in the truth.
I have to disagree, this is a pure political statement to appease the base.
Yes, he issued Gitmo and the black sites closed, no torture, but the executive orders, according to the NYTimes,
"would leave unresolved complex questions surrounding the closing of the Guantanamo prison, including whether, where and how many of the detainees are to be prosecuted. They could also allow Mr. Obama to reinstate the CIA's detention and interrogation operations in the future, by presidential order, as some have argued would be appropriate if Osama Bin Laden or another top-level leader of Al Qaeda were captured."
He's left himself a backdoor for warrantless wiretap searches(as this article/summary shows); for continued CIA interrogation techniques he's supposedly ending today; and for keeping Gitmo open, should we capture the right people.
Hell I've got karma to burn. I still don't buy that arguement. Why is it a factor? You just kind of danced around the topic saying it mattered, but didn't say why. If you want to vote on a guy because he happens to be black that is obviously your choice. How much farther as a society do we have to go? We just elected a black president, where his being black was a net positive for the guy. Where do we go from here? I'm not being antagonistic, I'm genuinely curious on your thoughts.
Wow, and the fact that you were modded up speaks volumes. This is what's wrong with race relations in America. We still focus on them and thrust identity politics onto every facet of our society. What you're saying is that you didn't vote for the candidate based on his qualifications or experience, but voted on him based on his skin color. That is racism, plain and simple, even if the result was a positive one in your eyes. Playing the race card does not help. The fact is, we should already be over skin colors entirely, the only people who constantly bring it up are the far left and the media.
I'm sorry, no one cared when we had blacks ascend to prominent positions in govt eg. Clarence Thomas, Condoleeza Rice, Colin Powell, etc. I guess this is the first person of color to ascend to high ranking office that the media and left approve of, therefore it's a big deal. Being black helped Obama during the election, period. The only people making a big deal of him being the first non-white president was the media and the left.
...for Bush's inauguration! What's that you say? You didn't force all the kids to watch W's? In all seriousness though, why the big deal for Obama's inauguration? What makes it more significant than any other inauguration in the past? Did you guys broadcast Bush's or Clinton's?
The Mormon church didn't provide a dime, please get your facts straight. It was the members of said church that donated to the cause. And it wasn't only members of the Mormon church, it was also Catholics and Evangelicals that gave support. Mormon's are just an easy target.
Here is some non fox-news data for you. White powder envelopes. Old couple attacked. Here's some proof on the burning churches threat. Sorry you're not hearing this from Olbermann or Maddow, but those are the facts.
I guess we'll find out on Tuesday night shant we? Incidentally, I'll be watching msnbc also. Can't miss television's first on-air stroke by Olbermann, when Mccain wins it in a land slide.
Compare the treatment of Obama with that of Palin. She's so incompetent she's not allowed to speak her own words, and anyone who states this fact is decried as sexist. There's media bias that swings right and left as usual, and this time they are at least attempting to be journalists.
Yes, lets please compare. The media is so obviously in the tank for Obama it's ridiculous. From taking flat out lies, made up over on DailyKos and reported as factual news, to the latest scandal about Palin owning a tanning bed! Where are the hard hitting investigative reports on Obama? His connections to Ayers, Rezko, and racist Wright? What about the massive astro-turfing campaign being conducted by Axelrod on his behalf? The media playing up Palin's inexperience, yet conveniently ignoring the fact that Obama is a 3 year Junior Senator, 2 of which have been spent campaigning. You want people playing identity politics take a look at Obama. Every time he is down in the polls, the media attributes it to racism.
Parent is nothing butastroturf. Either slashdot's liberal bias is real, or the sockpuppets are already running the show around here, like they are over at digg and reddit.

Uhh, insurance companies make about a 3% profit margin on average. Google for yourself if you don't trust this link.

For pointing out the obvious. Like those 4chan kiddies who think it's cool to rickroll.

National security is more important than a bunch of bloated social programs that tend not to work very well.
Taxis, Concerts, Beer, Non-Diet Soda, Cable TV, Personal Service(gym, manicures, haircuts, etc), clothes, shoes.

And watching Olbermann give us television's first on air stroke, when Mccain wins by landslide.
