    It should be interesting to be logged on during those last days in September. On September 1st at 11:59PM (or whatever the exact down-date is) maybe all the remaining players will have one last battle-royale, or maybe just a virtual champagne toast, fight together for something fun, and then watch as they all "die" simultanously...

    What's up with the whole "NY Times registration" hated? Who cares? So you register a fake yahoo email once. What's the big deal? You get (arguably) the most respected newspaper in the world EVERYDAY... for FREE... and it "costs" you the price of telling them your (fake, if you prefer) name. What's with all the whiney bitches?

    Hopefully, someone is reading this at -1 so I can finally find out the answer...

    i love when people's comebacks are grammar errors or semantics like my error.
    The lowest # electoral votes being "3" and not "2" does NOT change the IDEA of my argument ("fucktard..."). What, do you expect california to get 55 votes and Wyoming to get 0.2 votes, Rhode Island 0.3, etc? That's the stupidest thing I have ever heard.

    "Doing the math" makes no difference. I acknowledged that there is a discrepancy in the actual vote:voter ratio ("...fucktard").

    Flame on. ACs don't scare me. Bring it... ("...fucktard").

    You're both right... and you're both wrong.

    Parent is right in that less populated states have (in theory) proportionally less electoral votes, in an effort to make every America have an equal state size:electoral vote ration. Grandparent is right in that it is technically still unequal. All states with 2 electoral votes (the minimum) do not have equal populations, this there IS discrepency in the voter:electoral vote ratio.

    But it's all semantics. If I had to go with 1, I'd say the parent is more right. Electoral votes are (in theory) proportional to state population size.

    Civilization isn't educational like Carmen Sandiego is. I mean, in Civ, you can have Ghandii (living in Italy) start a global thermonuclear war with the Zulus (who live in the Americas).

    I only say this because that was the scenario when I once played (maybe I was the Greeks, i cant remember...)

    In my day, it was all about Where in the USA/World is Carmen Sandiego and The Oregon Trail on the Apple IIe's we had in the computer lab. I think we also used Logo for a while.

    Although, judging from today's anal society, I'll bet your principal would have an objection to the 2-bit hunting scene in Oregon Trail.

    I ask a question about your OPINION on UN policies and you refer me to the UN and make a propagandous remark about "the second berlin wall." The offer still stands. Get back to me when you have an answer to my question instead of another rant.

    I know BF1942 has the new "punkbuster" program. has it worked? I'm usually right in the upper-middle part of the score rank, rarely at the top, so I never notice if the #1s are awesome or cheating. Just wondering if u guys know...

    Simple solution... ever play Yahoo games? There are beginner, intermed and expert rooms to choose from. This might be something to consider in games. I find that the rooms are pretty honest in skill level. Sure, someone could troll the beginner rooms if they're good, but, from the Yahoo example, it doesn't happen (much). If you're #4 ranked, but in the beginner level, that's not much respect.

    everyone jokes that it's taken >10 yrs to make a sequel to Duke Nukem 3-D. But weren't there like 2-3 sequels on Playstation, N64 and maybe even a current-gen system? I could be wrong but i thought i'd seen them...

    4 words for you: X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter

    Taht game single-handedly ruined what was the franchise of what was arguably the best pc game and sequel ever made (at least at the time). I hear the 4th game in the series, X-Wing Alliance, was good too (not great, but good nonetheless). I own it but I never played it (it came in an X-Wing Collection of the whole series. I just never got around to trying it...)

    was it any good?

    You link to a site that describes "the universally condemned Israel." I won't get into israel topics, but I find it interesting that the Palestinians are not "universally condemned" as well.

    Also... linking to a radical site like whatreallyhappened.com ("Evidence linking these Israelis to 9/11" - HA!) really shows your "credibility," especially when you make the laughable claim that you are "non-partisan."

    Simple solution... do what (I hear) they do in England. If you sue someone, and lose, then you pay for their legal fees. It is because of this that so many cases settle. If someone sues you for 25k, it'll cost you 15K for a lawyer, so you're pushed into a 7.5k settlement. Even if you win, you're 15k down (then you have to pay a lawyer to sue for legal expenses yet again...)

    Mods, whatever your personal political views are, the parent is simply making an anti-bush statement. The article is about personal information being available to the public and has nothing to do with republicans or George Bush - yet there is a need by the parent to bring up his disagreement with upper class tax cuts?

    I'm sick of seeing these OT politcal rants. In some /. articles pro/anti-bush ramblings are relevant (example: Bush allowing feds to monitor internet usage). But if we don't stop these irrelevant OT political posts this place will turn into a nerd fistfight.
