Sorry, but by that logic, Sega would never have released the Sonic Collection on the Gamecube to begin with, since PS2 had and always will have a larger user base...
Considering the success of the Sonic Mega Collection on Gamecube, I'm surprised Sega isn't releasing this on a platform which has already proven it will buy classic Sega games...
OK, many might be surprised to see these two up there, but it's not surprising at all.
Think about it, what are your favorite games from NES/Genesis to play with your friends? If you're like me and my friends, it was Contra, Streets of Rage, etc.
What do these games all have in common? - 2 players simultaneously! Play Halo on co-op mode, Mario Kart: Double Dash, hell, even the original mario bros was a so-so game that became SO much more fun with 2 players on at once. Ice Climber was simply from an era before NES became really popular (when games were labeled as part of the "Action Series," "Sports Series," etc.)
No, he's right. We watch professionals because they can do things we can't do it ourselves. I highly doubt you can run 50 meters in 6 seconds, throw a 96 mph fastball or kick a field goal from the 37 yard line.
Maybe that doesn't interest you, but just "letting you in on the secret" of one of the reasons that sports and olympic displays of athleticism have been popular for over 2000 years.
what the heck is the activator? Anyone have a link for a site with a REAL description? I googled (not very long - 2 pages) and only found text about people selling them.
I was always fascinated by that U-Force. How exactly did it work, and why didn't it function correctly? I always assumed, like the Power Glove, that it worked ok, but was plain stupid.
It's not worth conversing with an AC who's so paranoid that he thinks "the government" or something like that is "watching him" that he has to post annonymously. Scizophrenia anyone?
Yeah yeah yeah... this is yet another of the ranting similar to the fake Protocols of the Elders of Zion.
Instead of finding real reasons for events, conspiracy theorists decide that things they can't explain are caused by people that they can't see.
(PS - I was in a "secret society" at an ivy-league school as well - not Yale though. And trust me, it's not what you and the movies/theorists think. We had a few parties with another secret society and did nothing really. Oh wait, I mean we decided we woud pledge 10% of our estate to the group when we die and only hire people within the group when we become CEOs and control the world... my mistake)
Are you talking about all those times the "government" watched whether I bought brand-name Q-tips or the store-brand?
I find it interesting that, for the most part, Slashdot is a non-religious community. Nothing wrong with that - Slashdot people are more modern-science oriented, so they are less inclinded to believe in an invisible Diety who created worlds and stuff. Yet, I also find many Slashdot people to be enormous conspiracy theorists. Interesting. On one hand, you choose not to believe in something that is hard to prove from the various Bible(various miracles, floods, etc), yet you choose to believe in "Men in Black" "Secret 'They' Organizations," "Crash-landed UFOs" and the like.
Frink: Well, sure, the Frinkiac-7 looks impressive, don't touch it! But I predict that within 100 years computers will be twice as powerful, 10,000 times larger, and so expensive that only the five richest kings of Europe will own them.
That in 100 years, computers would be TWICE as powerful, TEN-THOUSAND times larger, and so expensive that only the five richest kings of Europe would be able to afford one.
(Oh, and the whole computer-matching-would-be-SO-perfect theory also didn't materialize)
Wow... I can't believe how many complaints and whines people are having over a FREE game collection! I mean, if I BOUGHT one of those Atari of Namco collection cds and it was buggy, then I'd be really mad. But when I get a FREE collection of classic games with the purchase of Mario Kart and Mario Party 5 (which I was going to buy regardless) I can't see how I can complain at the free perk!
Slashdot, which as I have seen, has a majority of non-religious people, who feel that religion is silly, illogical and a thing of the past. They are fully entitled to this opinion (that is not the point of this post).
However, I find it surprising the number of people who feel that disturbing these bodies is wrong. If all the religion stuff is mumbo-jumbo, then it's just disturbing a bunch of organic molecules, since there is no "soul," no "heaven/hell" etc.
The far right will let their own government and allies get away with that which they criticize foreign governments for.
The far left will let foreign governments get away with that which they criticize their own government and allies.
Wow. Excellent analogy. I never thought of it like that before, but that's 100% correct.
Proof? And I don't mean from an "Independent" or Arab news website - show my proof from some legitimate source (NY Times, CNN, Associated Press) where Israel says it wants to use Nukes.
BTW, you're a blind fool, but at least I respect the fact that this wasn't an AC post.

The microphone on SOCOM for ps2 makes the game
a) much more convinient(i.e. less annoying menus to cycle through)
b) More realistic (yelling commans to alpha squad is a lot cooler than pressing the triangle button)

yeah yeah yeah... hey, why are you always posting as an AC, are you afraid that "they" are monitoring this conversation?

wow... you are paranoid.
[it was]...not a prediction
ehem... (linky)

If I recall correctly, I'm pretty sure that SNES having Street Fighter 2 as an exclusive (for a while) sold like 1 million SNES console sales.
Another failed prediction...

Everytime I make a new filter rule in outlook, am I violating their patent?
Wow. That's brilliant (I'm not joking here - simple solution to a regular problem)! Seriously! Anyone know if such a plugin exists for AIM?

Riiiiiight. Once again, it's the "vast Jewish conspiracy." This has been going on for 2,000 years, you're SO nothing-new. Yawn.

Why is it that around 90% of Israel bashers/anti-Semites (not necessarily the same thing) on Slashdot are ACs? Grow some balls, will ya?
Hmmm... Israel has the bomb for 2 decades ---> Zero incidents/threats/uses
Hezbollah/Hamas gets the bomb ---> How long before Tel Aviv goes up in a pillar of smoke?
