Even if you're willing to register, continuously needing to log in (or even worse, reregistering if once more you've forgotten yet another semi-strong password from your list of thousands) gets extremely annoying, extremely fast.
I signed up at least 6 months ago, and logged in right after. I have yet to be forced to log in a second time, besides obviously on other computers.
I bet the taxpayers in Maryland are very happy to hear how the University is spending their tax dollars to provide college students the infrastructure to run businesses out of the dorms.
I agree completely. I'll be a taxpayer in MD soon (in a year or so) and a prospective UMD student, and I'd be glad to pay for this, so long as I'm one of the ones in those dorms...:)
You're right so long as Google is not considered a search engine monopoly. However, if they are, then they *might* be breaking the law by using their dominant power to control people like Microsoft is. But I don't think so...
I definitely see no wrong in purchasing an item which uses whatever technology, playing with it, making it better, what have you. If I buy it, then it is mine. If I turn it into a stereo system for whatever reason, that's the same as using it as a paper weight. It's very fun, and if I teach someone else how to do it, then they can have fun too and I will have helped the community.
I think you're picturing if we were orbitting right next to the other planet. It probably wouldn't look that much different than our sun I don't think.
I wish I couldn't believe that people believed him, but sadly I can.
Personally I have absolutely no hint of want for an HDTV. Besides that they cost about what's in my bank account, I just don't have any problem with the picture quality I'm getting from my LDTV (low definition TV). The entertainment quality, however.....
I was doing multiplication and long division when I was in either kindergarten or first grade, I don't remember which I started in (not in school though). My brother taught it to me after school because I liked numbers, and quickly got more and more interested in them. That definately set me up for the way my life has been since.

Anyway, I don't see how you couldn't both be right...
Good idea. Just make sure you don't visit America ever...
With such a small computer, I don't think there'd be room for the bigger hard drive.
*rimshot*
Obviously they've lost the creativity needed to get news for themselves. I mean, look at the department for the article:

FLoating-point Operations Per Second
Well so would I. Although I'm fairly sure there will be a huge impact, this side is the only one where I can collect my winnings :)

But if you ammend the Constitution to mandate this new scheme, then no problems remain...except for the uninformed voters :)

Haven't you seen those signs in stores?
"We reserve the right to refuse any customer of service."
Same thing applies here I'm sure, [troll]so long as they're not a minority...[/troll]
Yes, a torus can have uniform density, so long as wherever there is matter, it is of the set density.

You've got a point. I'm almost certain I've seen that same post like 10 other times, but it's always been troll/flamebait.
Only one solution: duck and cover.
CowboyNeal!!!
Oh no! He's giving us a good deal!!!

I'll take it!
How about BCPPAIOBWTHCNOKWTMA (Botany, Computer Programming and Physics, But Who The Hell Cares No One Knows What This Means Anyway)
I think it's got a nice ring to it.
Doctor: You're wasting valuable interferon!
Homer: Well you're interferon with my good time!

I'm pretty sure that if things were this drastic, I'd just give up on mp3's and new CDs and just listen to the good CDs I already own.
Or maybe I'll download classical music, no one cares about the rights for that anyway.
Sadly this doesn't fit that cliché poem, since they hadn't taken any people, so everyone would still be around to speak against taking AIBOs.
