Actually, Zope in itself is *not* a Content Management System. It provides you with a lot of tools that make it easy to build advanced Content Management System solutions, as the best known CMS based on Zope, Plone shows.
It's important that people stop thinking of Zope as a Content Management System, because it isn't. Zope is an Application Server, and can be used for a multitude of different systems in addition to Content Management. Its object database and Python underpinnings make it an excellent choice for web applications.
(disclaimer: I'm involved with both Zope and Plone development)
It looks like the 4.9lbs IBM T40p ended up winning the roundup, it lasted over 6 hours on battery!
I get 7 hours out of my widescreen Fujitsu P2120 sporting a Crusoe 933MHz, and it's 3.4lbs and half the price.
If you're interested in more, here's the specs.
I'm not affiliated with Fujitsu, I just can't praise this laptop enough;)
You should have 20/20 vision though, at 1280x768 in 10.4" widescreen, the pixels are small. But with sub-pixel rendering, the fonts are a visual orgasm for typography nerds like myself;)
Interesting trivia: Sandy Petersen is best known in my world for the role-playing game Call of Chtulhu. I found it very fitting when he was part of the people designing for Doom.
The big news here, IMNSHO, is the MAME port he has done, a bit further down the page. How about playing Galaxian (screenshot) or Pac-man (screenshot) on your mobile phone - the real arcade versions?:)
This is a very good reason in itself to consider the P800 as a phone. But hey, I'm probably just missing the old times;)

SMS Messaging Unreliable
·
· Score: 2, Interesting
You are missing a couple of big points here, and the first and foremost is the reason why e-mail took off:
It's asynchronous. You don't have to answer it right away, you don't have to read it right away, and you can answer at your leisure.
Plus, it's much less hassle than listening to a voice mail, and it works very well in noisy environments. Ever tried locating a friend at a concert or a noisy festival? SMS is pure genius for doing that.
And it's flirty. You can leave a message, communicate textually with people you don't know so well. There's a reason a lot of us like textual communication, you have time to think of something funny or profound, and leave a small note to the other person. Most women I know love small personal notes, and this is the digital version.
Of course it functions differently in the US, if the carriers actually managed to talk to eachother and forward SMSes, the usage pattern would change. At the moment I'm sending text messages to a female friend in Australia from Norway (exactly the opposite end of the globe, but I can't send a message to my mate in Houston. Pretty annoying.
When the source code is released, will it come in the mail with no return address and spelled out in individual letters clipped from the newspaper? If so, where are they going to find enough semicolons?
If workflow is your interest, you should check out Zope's Content Management Framework - and in particular the Plone implementation based on this. Plone makes the whole thing more user friendly (basically, the CMF sucks in its standard version;) and also incorporates DCWorkflow as part of the solution.

Oh, and another thing that really irritated me about the latest version of Opera for Windows. They changed the way you put links into the personal toolbar. In earlier versions it was a piece of cake. Now the only way Opera would let me do it was through the sidebar.
Tried drag'n'drop? Grab hold of the Lock icon, and drag it to the Personal Bar. Voilá!
Rest in peace, Alan. I know I appreciated your work, and so did a lot of other people.

What's this, a meta-dupe?
Does anybody else see the irony in the "RMS" acronym for Rights Management?
Run Opera.
Press F12. Uncheck "Enable plugins".
I've disabled Flash, animated GIFs and set it to open only requested Windows - and the web is now like it should be. Silent, and not moving.
I could install something that filters banner ads, but most of them are Flash nowadays anyway, so I don't notice them much. Nice side-effect.

25 hours of boring holiday footage.
The Galaxian screenshot is here - sorry for not testing the link.

Real kidnappers use Python.
A review with lots of great pictures can be found here.

This is easily solved by showing the title attribute if it exists, the alt attribute if the title is missing. Simple and elegant.
Well, I know XML and HTML. But what is DML? ;)

Panasonic's own page states that the screens are 15.7" screens capable of SXGA, ie. 1280x1024 (not 1024x1024 as stated above).
