    Why? Hes a poor to bad director. The movies where good despite his involvment, not because of it. The only thing he should get credit for is for letting the camera crew and art department do their thing. Just look at his film bio, or better yet watch the LOTR movies with a critical eye. The directing is just bad at times. Not bad enough to spoil the movies, but not worthy of an oscar.

    The company I work for is an ASP that hosts large Domino based databases for our clients. Does this mean we now need to get the copywrite holders (our clients) to give us permission to back up their data? Otherwise wouldn't doing so be a copywrite violation?

    Please expalin in one sentance why I would ever pay more for an MP3/OGG/ACC/WMA player just because it has an Apple logo on it? That seems to be the only real reason to get an iPod VS many of the iPod "killers" (some of which predate the iPod).

    Because there is just NO WAY to get somthing like a heat pipe into a larger case. Some strange feild of physics makes them only work in small non upgradable systems.

    Since they ask your birth date before they give you the phone they can tell your age using teh simple formula of (today - birthday) = age.

    Didn't you know? Geeks are always presumed innocent on Slashdot. Unless they are infringing on the GPL or accused of spamming. Then they are presumed guilty.

    Slashdot is a good example of why a true democracy would be a bad idea. A person can be smart, but people are dumb.

    11GB over what time period? Most network admins have beter things to do with their time then to read network activy reports or etherial output while on the john.

    The Secret Service charter gives them jurisdiction in many computer crime cases. They tend to work with the FBI, but not always.
